Vera Wang Lavender Label

It’s weird to see Vera Wang duck out of the tents this year due to the recession and opt for her showroom instead, but nonetheless the collection is no disappoint. It keeps to a consistency with plaid and stripe patterns and updated classics such as modified blazers, colored tights, and those BOOTS! I thought they were gonna be too harsh on the outfits but they really aren’t. If anything they add to them.

Shipley & Halmos

I like this. I’ve never looked into Shipley & Halmos before but I love the layering effect I’ve just never been one to believe that I could pull it off. My spring mind set is also telling me that this dress is perfect for that season as well! Without the turtleneck of course.

Lorick

Lorick debuted one of my favorite collections of all time for Spring 09 rtw. The presentation was a party. Literally. With many many beautiful decorated cakes and the models donned cocktail party dresses. It took place in a tiny kitchen and it got a little messy but it was fun. According to my source Fashionista, there was a somber sounding accordian player. Abigail Lorick also happens to be the actual designer behind Blair Waldorf’s mother line in Gossip Girl as well.

Jillian Lewis

Remember her?! She was one of the runner up contestants on Project Runway and she was also the first to kick off fashion week with her presentation in Chelsey. It wasn’t a bad collection but it wasn’t anything very special and dear to me either. I’m sorry Jillian, I just have never been a fan of cable knit sweaters… regardless if they are dresses BUT I will commend you on spicing it up with an updated look – hence sleeves.

Rag & Boone

Rag & Boone has never really been one of my favorites but I am a fan of this collection. It was a trip to Japan that inspired these designers. I love how they mix soft with harsh colors and heavy fabrics with light. At times it might seem like a little too much but I think it’s perfection.

1) Love the watercolor blue skirt. All the blue mixed with just a little red is enough to complete the outfit.

2) This reminds me of something out of Gossip Girl

3) Sometimes I’m aprehensive too be wearing so much gray and different shades of it at the same time but this works. and I want that jacket ktnx

4) Even though this isn’t a legitamate Herve Leger it reminds me of one. And I want it. Or I want this one. I have a fake wannabe from Forever 21 but there’s just something about those Herve Leger’s that are so sleek and flattering.

ADAM

So far out of all the collections I’ve seen everything has been so dark, structured, stiff and serious but ADAM’s is refreshing. Maybe I love it because it reminds me of spring – ish but it’s fall! and I like it. I think after awhile everyone will start to see that I’m choosing a lot of these pictures because these are things I WOULD wear (if I could afford it that is)

1) Perfect red carpet dress is it not? Camilla Belle this is a winner.

I love the sleekness and sophistication in all of these outfits.

Jason Wu

If I were Jason Wu, I would feel an immense amount of pressure on my shoulders right now. Having that Michelle Obama status already? I can’t imagine. But I actually like many of these look.

I could see Michelle wearing the second dress.

Fall 09 RTW – Abaete

I’ll do my best to keep up. I won’t be featuring all of the designers but I will feature my favorites! I actually think it’s gonna be hard for me to report on fall when I absolutely love spring rtw. Fall sometimes can just be a little bit too rough for me.
