I get so excited when movies are based in Seattle! The other day Sasha and I saw this trailer during My Sister’s Keeper and we were both wondering if it was really filmed in Seattle so I thought I would play detective and find out.
Sadly, it was filmed in Vancouver. (The next best city closest to us, I miss it.) The shots of Seattle in the movie look nice though :)
Kanye West has landed an interning gig with The Gap. The guy is serious about fashion, no jokes. He recently launched his line of sneakers with Louis Vuitton, but is hoping to expand into clothing now.
A source tells US Weekly, “He works all the time, and one Friday night recently he stayed until midnight. He is learning the fashion business from the inside and trying to do it quietly.”
Why Gap? Why now? I don’t know. However, I commend Mr. West. A person of his reputation could easily get a line on his own but he is actually taking the time to learn and do it right. It just goes to show how much he cares about his work and that he’s not going to take the easy path in this business.

If I were located in Los Angeles, I would be ALL OVER THIS. Unfortunately, I’m not, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want my lucky LA readers to miss out on this opportunity. If you know me pretty well, then you know that I am obsessed with post-it notes. They are all over my laptop during a busy week of course, and there is always a stack next to me. That’s a lie, I’m not just obsessed with the post-it, I’m obsessed with notes in general. I have various notepads on my computer and use the notepad on my crackberry religiously. I have notes in bright neon colors and Hello Kitty (5) courtesy of Kelsey Carey.
So imagine my reaction when I discovered that these pretty fruits above were actually POST-IT NOTES!
They were created by a Japanese company called D-Bros and even come with a protective netting often seen with real fruit at grocery stores.

Sarah Palin announced today that she was stepping down from her position as Governor of Alaska at the end of this month. No word has been said yet if her intentions are to run for presidency in 2010, but only time will tell.
“Some are going to question the timing of this, and let me say, this decision has been in the works for quite a while,” Palin said.
On July 26th, her successor Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will take over and Sarah is looking for some traveling time meanwhile.
