I’m leaving for my retreat in less than an hour! So frantically, I am putting together some time waster sites for all of you to keep yourselves busy for the weekend, deal?
Food in Real Life… When I go to the grocery store and need just a quick pick me up food, I’ll usually grab some frozen dinner or whatever cause I’m still in the beginning stages of cooking my own food, remember? for example my favorite is the Marie Callendar – fettucini w/ broccoli and chicken. It looks damnnn good on the box, however in real life, it is soaked in oil – not creamy (the way the box sells it) and not as filling.

I was doing my daily reading today when I came across a Flickr collection of women applying to be strippers in the twenties. Before you think about…whatever I think you’re thinking about, the images are actually very tasteful. I think it’s really cool to look back at something that would be considered tame today. I mean… if those women saw real strippers and the appearance they give off, well things would be a lot different.

When I was growing up, I had favorite foods. I mean, they were my FAVORITE so I had to get it everyday and I had to put it on everything. Everyday, I would go through that food line in elementary and get “extra” corn and that corn would be put on everything. In junior high, they introduced us to “a la carte.” It would grow to be the most popular -unhealthy diet of our adolescence. You no longer needed to buy meals like they forced you when you were a kid, you could just buy Minute Maid’s Lemonade Frozen Ice and Sweet Maui Onion chips and call it a day.

Rachel Comey was a huge fan of the rompers and wide legged pants this season and while I know that her clothes are very carefully designed and crafted, I know that they are not for me. Usually. Though I did pick out a few looks that I probably would wear.

Gabriel Dishaw constructed these Nike sneakers out of objects that can be found in computers, type writers and adding machines.
I take the items people no longer have use for and I carefully disassembling these items and then reassemble these together using metal wire creating my Junk Art.
I wonder how comfortable these would actually be to WEAR
