“People in Seattle sometimes think they are too cool.”

In high school, I remember receiving that label of “pushing emo.” So I was not quite an emo with the all black-depressed-Hawthorne Heights but I was that Hollister cardigan wearing girl with her favorite Seattle bands’ buttons streamlining the borders of her pockets. I also wore bracelets that girls wore when they were five and pearls with every top I owned.

I can’t even post the pictures cause they are too heinous.

Now, emo is out and hipster/indie is in. I’d much rather be this than that :)
