La Blogotheque

La Blogotheque is a Paris-based music blog that records videos of well-known bands having impromptu, completely spontaneous, concerts around Paris.

Can you imagine if you were one of those lucky people able to catch this kind of a set? I think I would pee my pants a little being only 3 feet away seeing one of my favorite bands. I think what La Blogotheque does is great! It can be tough sometimes when a band you would really like to see is so huge, they only play at arenas and music festivals. There is something so attractive to me about intimate shows like this and it actually says a lot about the band and musicians themselves too.

Here is Phoenix performing one of my favorite songs “1901” in front of the Eiffel Tower.  It’s amazing.

Hipster or Homeless

Sometimes it’s difficult to distinguish between the two. The new time waster site “Hipster is the New Homeless” is a collection of photos of the two groups. Kind of makes you think that the hipster look should evolve once more…

Babies

4 babies. 4 locations around the world. This has to be one of the cutest movie  trailers that I’ve seen in a very long time. I hope that I get a chance to view this documentary.

And even though I’m nineteen going on twenty, I cannot wait for the day that I can have my very own little girl or boy. But seriously, watching this trailer just might heighten your feelings about it.

Twilight at Seattle University

There has been an Edward Cullen sighting!

I kid you not. THE Edward Cullen has a twin and he is a student at Seattle University. Pale skin. Thin lips. That weird hair. The pout. It’s all there, all signs point to positive.

Last night, at around 8:35 PM, I sat in the hearth for the SEAC Coffeehouse event watching the band Judgement Day perform when BAM! I get this weird feeling inside… like I’m seeing sparkles. I turn to my right and I see the Edward Cullen walking up the stairs.

However, this is not the first sighting. I have seen him around. Same description as before and he is never with anyone else, which makes me wonder…is his pseudo family around?

If I can snag a picture or maybe an interview, I will!

New Obsession: Glee

Does anyone else love this show as much as I do? Over the summer, Glee aired their pilot on FOX, which I was able to catch. When I watch a new show, I put them into separate categories.

Definitely watching the whole season: ex) NYC Prep

Want to watch this for the whole season, but who knows? : ex) Ugly Betty

WILL NOT WATCH AGAIN after the first ep. : ex) Melrose Place

Now, Glee is a show that I am impressed with. It’s funny, witty, surprising, and very well done. Initially, I had put this show in the second category, but sadly after the season began and school started, I just didn’t have time to watch it every Wednesday night. I never watched it at all :(

Over Thanksgiving break, I was so sick that all I wanted to do was catch up on this season and that is exactly what I did! The show is wonderful. If you haven’t seen it, I definitely reccomend it.

Here’s a cute little video of one of the actresses on the show to hold you over. Episodes are on Hulu, there I’ve already made it easier for you.
