Song of the Day

Gregory & the Hawk – Kill the Turkey

It is becoming more and more difficult to find songs for my “Song of the Day.” I have yet to add to my music library since I’ve been home so if there’s not a song that is repeatedly playing in my head, I usually just shuffle my music library until I find a new one. In this case, I don’t even have “Kill the Turkey” on my iPod, but I did stumble upon Gregory & the Hawk. I remember the first time I listened to Meredith Godreau, I immediately fell in love with her voice. If you haven’t heard “Boats and Birds,” you must.

I used to think that I could look back on my life in pictures (or posts,) but I’ve found that I can do the same with songs. I can remember the periods in my life when I listened to different genres. I’m gonna say Gregory & the Hawk was about… 2006

Barbara Walters brings out the lady in Lady gaga

To me, Lady Gaga is a mystery. She’s always left me wondering why she performs the way she does, dresses the way she does, and acts the way that she does. For the longest time, I’ve been seeing her as a character. Before the fame, she was very normal, from what I’ve read and then all of a sudden her transformation turned her into what she is known for today. She is Lady Gaga, the character.

Barbara Walters interviewed Lady Gaga on a special that aired tonight, and it completely shocked me. I thought she was going to answer robotically or just be the character, but she was not.

The Jersey Shore Horror Continues

Who’s watched the show since the premiere? I, for one, have not. I might just be too consumed in the show Glee to watch anything else on television.

I have no idea what is going down (or who is going down – har har) on MTV’s The Jersey Shore, but I just got a hold of this clip, which will supposedly be appearing on an upcoming episode.

BAM Snooki! (Yep, actual guidette nickname for ya)

Does MTV incorporate this into their plot lines? That punch looks like it is going to be incredibly damaging. A part of me thinks that MTV almost told her to take the punch and they would pay her more…

And no, I do not think that men hitting women is funny. I think I’ve just gotten used to the idea that anything MTV films these days is unrealistic. And it is, ie) the reality dating shows, The Hills, The City, and now Jersey Shore.

Question:

I would like to purchase a pair of black Lululemon sweat pants for a Christmas gift.

The pants usually run anywhere from $80-$130. I’ve heard some arguments saying that this price is justified because they really are such quality sweat pants. Can any readers confirm this? The price makes me a little nervous because I’m sure I can find quality sweats at The Gap also.
