Just because we can say whatever we want on the internet doesn’t mean we always should.
Let’s not forget that we also don’t want to grow up to be a generation where we depend on the internet for absolutely everything. There are still things we can do via phone or oh my god! in person. Begin by keeping things to yourself. Off the top of my head, things I find annoying regarding Facebook status’s… like that chain tonight about posting the color of your bra in your to spread cancer awareness. NO. We are aware. What are we ten? Do we really need to be “tricking the boys?” I can’t believe I received three messages about this in my inbox. I doubt the guys are spending more than ten seconds wondering why girls have names of colors in their status. Girls – are you really getting any satisfaction out of this? The answer is no. Time to move on.
The Frisky compiled a list today of 13 misuses occurring on Facebook and Twitter. Something we should all read yeah?

I know what you’re talking about. I received a Facebook notification that this silly bra chain is in my inbox. I will soon be having words with the person who sent this to me. I hate chains whether it’s by letter (old school, I know), email, or Facebook (I’m not on Twitter). There’s no value in it whatsoever and in the case of chain emails in particular, having my address attached to these things, because people are too lazy or stupid to use the bcc, increases the spam in my junk box. If I want to help beat breast cancer, or help to bring awareness to any other disease/cause, I’ll donate money or time. I will not pass on these wastes of virtual space and real time. They piss me right off.
