I think I’ve discovered why Fall is usually not one of my favorite collections. There’s too much fur going around! And I’ve never been a fan of fur because not only am I against the idea of it, I just don’t like that it clutters everything.

Miss Beverly Hills 2010, Lauren Ashley, is igniting the fire of controversial sparks for spewing out her anti-gay comments. I know what you’re thinking, “Not another one…” It’s hard to believe that we were dealing with Carrie not too long ago and now Ashley is taking her statements a little too far. She doesn’t believe in gays and lesbians, and she also thinks they should be “put to death,” as heard on Fox News.
Who is this girl, seriously?
The city of Beverly Hills is pretty embarrassed by her statements though and even though contestants in the pageant are able to pick their cities, the city has rejected her Ashley and said that “she does not represent Beverly Hills in any capacity.”

Ask a girl the number one thing she looks for in a guy and you will almost always get the response of “a good personality.” It’s pretty obvious that no one wants to date a boring douche bag right? There’s no “type” for a good personality. In fact, that’s a lot of people and it really just depends on your taste in guys.
The other day my friend told me that I typically go for the shy awkward types. I said, “So what?!” because those guys are usually the nice ones…or so I believe. My guy friend said, you should go after guys your comfortable with that are like your friends. But you can’t really date your friends…
In the past few months, I’ve been walking around this school pointing out certain people that are not necessarily people that I like, but people with personality traits that I want to find in a husband. Now that’s a long time away, but a girl has to be prepared. I guess I’m very confused because I haven’t figured out what I want in a boyfriend, but I know what I would want in a husband.
Meet the personality types below: They aren’t the jocks, they aren’t the most popular, they’re definitely not bad boys. They are the dorks. They are super cute and lucky for me there are most of the time overlooked.

Dan Humphrey – Gossip Girl
This collection by Michelle Smith bears a very strong resemblance to the hit television series Gossip Girl…does it not? I like it!

PETA plans on releasing this new billboard with poster boy Tiger. Sucks for him.

Lily Allen has chosen to retire from her musical career to focus on fashion. This morning, she announced over Sky News that her last concert will be on March 7th at London’s 02.
She will be helping out designer friend Wayne Hemingway with his line Vintage at Goodwood while also managing her own collection Lucy in Disguise.
“I’m helping Wayne out with this first of all and then I’m opening up a shop with my sister and a couple of other people and I’m really busy,” she said. “I’m in the office every day, sourcing clothes and getting really excited about my new venture.”

Don’t even get me started on the whole paying for music thing. I think what iTunes does is great, particularly because they make so much money off of it and people are willing to pay $1 or more for songs. I think sometimes putting a money value on something shows people its worth. I hate to relate this back to theology, but only because I had that class today, I was thinking that we take a lot of things for granted. Everything sometimes. Let’s not forget that the music that we listen to comes from hard hard work from our favorite artists. Right? Therefore, slightly justified. And as much as I …support what iTunes and Apple does doesn’t exactly mean that I follow what I support? ;)
Here’s some more facts about mainstream music. We all love that.
The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” is the most-downloaded song
Lady Gaga is the artist with the most songs toward the top, with “Poker Face” at #2, “Just Dance” at #6 and “Bad Romance” at #22
All of the top 25 tracks were released in the past five years (Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” is the newest at #10) except for one: “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
The person who bought the 10 billionth track gets a $10,000 iTunes gift card. [WHOA. 10,000 songs...lucky]
And what was the 10 billionth song downloaded?!
I really like this song. It’s one of my favorites despite it’s over hypeness right now. Seriously I hate mainstream music. A lot. If you didn’t know, the original band that performs this song is The Temper Trap. You’ve probably heard this song in that one car commercial, that one episode of Greek (season finale of last year) and 500 Days of Summer. Twice.
Also Ellie has a very pretty voice, I know some people don’t like the soft whispery types, but I LOVE it.
Kthanks
It is absolutely one of my favorite songs…ever. Enjoy!

On Capitol Hill, we are lucky to have both a cupcake and an ice cream shop. You would think that would be enough, but where’s my cookie shop? Do those exist? Do they exist in Seattle?
Anyways, Williams Sonoma just came up with this masterpiece. With their new cookie cutters, you are able to leave little message imprints into your cookies. Say what you feel – whether it is a love or a hate message the end result is positive. You get a cookie!
Can’t really hate on that can you?

After watching the movie Clueless at age six, all I wanted was to have what Cher had. I wanted that closet. You know the one I’m talking about. The closest that would magically bring her the pieces to make her ideal outfit with the click of a button off her computer. It was the greatest invention I had ever seen. Tomorrow Couturious.com will be brought to the masses and it is basically the next best thing.
With Couturious, you will be able to pick items and put them together on your very own model. After some toying around, if you have found the perfect outfit, you can purchase all of those items so that you yourself can wear the masterpiece. Sounds easy enough. So far you can have your pick of Charlotte Ronson, Alice + Olivia, Cynthia Rowley, Tibi, Tory Burch, and Yigal Azrouël who have decided to let you choose from their Spring 2010 collection. As the website expands, you can expect the list of designers to grow as well.

(Look Ashton does it too!)
Good evening everyone!! I was recently taking some time off from my computer lately so that’s why posts have been scarce, but I’m back! Fashion posts… still coming don’t you worry haha
Tonight, I was with my friends when we decided to test out Chat Roulette. I’ve been hearing lots of stories on it recently, but didn’t really get all the hype. It basically is a website where you hook up your web cam and you click a button and at random you will be given a person to video chat with. You can either continue talking to them or click “Next.” I know, so powerful right?
After nearly fifteen minutes of Chat Roulette, we met a couple from Portland State University, a man in a mask, creepy older men, and definitely things that you should not be seeing from a stranger over a web cam. My overall thoughts? I don’t think I will have the urge to ever do this again. I understand why people may find this entertaining, but it can also be dangerous and I do not think that people under the age of 18 should be using it especially with the content that is being streamed over the internet through this. Ultimately, I do not think this is a good idea and I can see a lot more bad than good coming from this type of activity. Remember when parents told their kids to never chat w/ strangers online? Video chat kind of ups the stakes a bit.
