The Commuting Chart

The people over at The Infrastructurist have created this cute little chart to show the percentage of how people commute to work whether it is driving themselves, car pooling, biking, etc. I suppose this puts everything into more perspective and with the purpose to show others how conscious we should be.

Celebrities like random people too

While Conan has been out of work, he has been coming up with some pretty creative ways to make his life entertaining again. Today he changed one girl’s life by deciding to follow her on Twitter. Up until today, Conan has not been following anyone, but by changing that, the girl now has over 7,000 + followers.

It’s amazing how much impact celebrities have on us…

Urban Outfitters Inc. wants to plan your wedding

Is this a dream come true? Can it be? My favorite corporation will now be designing wedding gowns, shoes, jewelry, bags and more? Another gift HOBviously from Urban Outfitters Inc. who has already brought me Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and Free People.

The new wedding brand has no name yet, but along with designing the above they plan on helping assist your wedding in other ways as well including invitations, decorations, gifts and planning and styling advice. That sounds awfully nice. I wonder if we’ll be seeing some hipster-ish wedding gowns, but to be honest I’m really excited to see gowns with inspiration drawn from Anthropologie. Prices of gowns will range from $750 to $5000 while dresses will start at $200.

Things I learned today

  • The EMP is really freakin’ cool. I went there today for a site visit and the space is amazing and beautiful. If you haven’t been there recently, you might want to check it out.
  • Seattle University’s breakfast burrito…so good.
  • ZipCar – The world’s largest car sharing and car club service is on my campus. You basically have a car to use whenever you want and it’s not yours and all you have to do is reserve it for a certain time. There might be costs included, but I’m not looking that up for you.
  • Women in theology or writing about theology. Sometimes it doesn’t happen, get over it.
  • I really like the families I heard from today.
  • Finals are ready to eat me alive, maybe I’ll survive.

Lady Gaga’s Mini Me

8-year-old Laura Fontana is good. She’s super cute and she does Bad Romance and Paparazzi well, but should a girl’s role model really be Lady Gaga? I mean…the woman bleeds randomly! (watch MTV performance) So I’m commentating as I watch this video, and I’m so captivated by her, but for some reason she looks weird to me. Maybe it’s the makeup, I don’t know, but it just seems a little bit much.

I don’t know! Interpret it as you wish!

Los Angeles Jealousy

There is an entire website dedicated to the food trucks of Los Angeles. Why don’t we have this? All you have to do is go here and type in a keyword to find out where your local truck is lurking. There are about 60 different vendors on this site so you really shouldn’t have a hard time finding one. I used to have this fear about eating from street vendors. How sanitary is it? Is it more quality than the food I would eat in a restaurant? etc etc And to this day, now that I look back on it… I still haven’t eaten from a street vendor. Now I feel like I haven’t lived life.

How bad do you want this Mac N’ Cheese Grilled Cheese right now?

Real bad.

Kings of Convenience – Rule My World

I’ve been listening to Kings of Convenience all week! If I could recommend you any album right now, this would be it.
