Facebook reportedly testing a “subscribe” button

[by the way LOL at the test user]

Subscribing is a lot less blunt then “stalking,” but I think we all really know what that is implying don’t we? Facebook is about to send their users into a flurry if they decide to press on in developing the subscribe button. I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t exactly want specific people to be notified for every action I’m participating on in Facebook. The newsfeed is already doing that job for me.

As of right now, I’m already hiding a lot by customizing privacy options not to mention the occasional deleting of a “friend” [but not really.]

I’m completely opposed to the idea because I think people don’t realize how much of an open book we already are on the internet. Facebook – take a step back please. MySpace also had a similar option called “Ffavorites,” but it was somewhat creepy because you never knew who marking your page as a favorite. Users weren’t notified about the favorite’s actions, but they did have their page saved to their account and could visit it whenever they wanted unless there were certain privacy restrictions.
