Believe it or not, the best article I read last week was GQ’s hilariously informative guide to hipster girls. Writer Jonathan Heaf describes in fifteen pages the types of hipster girls, hipster girl icons like my own idol Alexa Chung, hipster girl crushes like my crush for Michael Cera, and brands that we love.

Did I just say we? …shoot I didn’t mean to say that. My friends from home have officially decided to nickname me the “Hipster girl.” If not that, they will call me Lauren Conrad or Urban Outfitters. I tell them that they clearly have not visited me at Seattle University because if they did they would retract those names in a heartbeat. I suppose I am not opposed to being called a hipster girl because the traits that Heaf has mentioned in the article are somewhat similar to mine. Personally, I’d rather be a manic pixie dream girl. THE HBIC before hipster girls even existed.
