Seattle Mayor Announces Future Plans for the Seattle Center

After 10 months, Mayor Mike McGinn announced his plans for the Seattle Center Project today. Would Dale Chihuly’s new glass musuem or KEXP’s headquarters win?

WHOAA It’s both!

Technically, Dale Chihuly won because his museum will be taking over the old Fun Forest space that everyone was vying for. However, KEXP’s new headquarters will also be located within the Seattle Center in a building conveniently next to all-ages music venue The Vera Project and will be 28,000 square feet. That’s 22,000 square feet more than they have right now at their current location. Anyways, the details of all of this are overwhelming so if you would like to read more about the $10 million project, check out the sources!

PS: The kids are getting a one million dollar playground in this deal as well. Let’s also not forget the new Ferris Wheel exhibition wheel that they are building!
