2011 Golden Globe Awards

Olivia Wilde in Marchesa

Chocolate brown and gold sequins are the perfect combination for this Golden Globe gown. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Olivia look this good! I also loved that she wore her hair down with her bangs since we are typically used to seeing it done up.

4.8

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein

I still cannot get over what her hair has done for her looks these days. Emma proves that simple can be just as glam for the red carpet in this short sleeved peach dress.

4.3

January Jones in Versace

January really turned up the notch with this fringed gown. The girl looks gorgeous! While some may argue that this is just too much skin, I disagree. I don’t think it is that bad and I love the hair style she chose to go along with it.

4.4

Mila Kunis in Vera Wang

Mila tackled two of the hottest Golden Globe  red carpet trends in one dress. Her emerald one-shouldered gown was absolutely beautiful against the red carpet. It is so nice to see her all dressed for this award show especially since she’s coming along way from her character Jackie. Even though she didn’t win for Best Supporting Actress, Mila still gets an award in my book.

4.6

Ryan Gosling

Chord Overstreet

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein

Another Calvin Klein dress winner! Claire looked stunning in her pink halter gown. She looks breath taking and oozes sophistication in this gown. I love it! *Second picture added so we can all swoon over Hugh Dancy.

4.9

James Franco in Gucci

Chris Colfer

Kevin McHale

Natalie Portman in Viktor & Rolf

Nobody does the maternity look better than Natalie Portman. I’m not exactly a huge fan of the Swarovski crystal rose implanted to the front of the dress, but meh – I suppose it’s okay.

4.2

Brangelina. Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace

Definitely one of my favorites last night! I love the shimmery emerald green and though I would have loved to see this as a sleeveless, you have to admit that long sleeve is still just as elegant. She didn’t even need any accessories at all since the gown was completely covered in Swarovski crystals.

4.7

Nicole Kidman in Prada

The brooch on her shoulder is barely noticeable and the bow at the waist is nothing spectacular. This dress is pleasantly forgettable.

3.1 for effort?

Anne Hathaway in Armani Privé

Anne looks gorgeous in this slinky Swarovski crystal covered Armani Privé number! Though this photo does not show the back of the dress, it is spectacular. She looks great!

4.6

Julianne Moore in Lanvin

I have to commend her for trying something a little different, but that one puffy sleeve bothers me so much! I would have been okay if the sleeve were fitted from her wrist up completely.

3.3

Helena Bonham Carter in Vivienne Westwood

Oh Helena… you are quite the character. I can’t give this a serious rating because she is known for her outlandish style and let’s face it, she’s not in the same category as everyone else.

Annette Bening in Tom Ford with husband Warren Beatty.

4

Jennifer Lawrence in Louis Vuitton

I have loved all of the dresses in Louis Vuitton’s collections recently and this is no exception. She looks AMAZING! I’m pretty sure she was one of the few to be wearing ruffles on the red carpet this year, but she wore it well.

4.7

Jesse Eisenberg in Dolce & Gabbana

Halle Berry in Vintage Nina Ricci

As much as I adore Halle Berry, this kind of screams something hookerish to me. The sheer draping with the bustier is too much. Not too mention the bling on both wrists is extremely tacky.

2

Michelle Williams in Valentino

I can see why people would like this gown. It is very Michelle, very light, flirty, and relaxed. I wish it had been a different print other than daisies though.

3

Justin Bieber in Dolce & Gabbana

Kyra Sedgwick in Emilio Pucci w/ husband Kevin Bacon

This was one of my favorites! I love the pumpkin colored gown and the ruffles at the neckline. It was definitely a stand-out on the red carpet.

4.7

Tilda Swinton in Jil Sander

Unfortunately, this gown does nothing for me. She looks like a very elegant waitress.

1.8

Scarlett Johansson in Elie Saab

She is a vision in this gown exuding both elegance and romanticism. It is also a  beautiful gown that would’ve been just fine on its own without the sleeves.

3.7

Hailee Steinfeld looks jaw-dropping in this Prabal Gurung gown. Elle Fanning – watch out, Hailee will steal your thunder. Known for her role in True Grit, Hailee is on the fast track to becoming a style icon in her own right.

4.9

Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka

4.2

Jake Gyllenhaal in Burberry

Lea Michelle in Oscar de la Renta

I actually love the poppy pink in this gown and while not many people can pull it off, she can. This look is really nice.

4.5

Megan Fox in Armani Privé

I usually have something against overly sexy gowns for the Golden Globes, but this year both Megan Fox and January Jones were in the top 10 for me. At least Megan knows what works for her so how can we knock her down for that?

4.6

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier

This gown looks like it would be very hot to wear, but it is wondrous. I cannot take my eyes off of it. It kind of looks like a cozy…sweater gown.

4.5

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang

Love the hair and makeup!

4.3

Elizabeth Moss in Donna Karan

Elizabeth was adorable in this deep green gown. This is probably my favorite look from her on a red carpet…EVER!

4.4

Carrie Underwood in Badgley Mischka

Average! 3.5

Christina Aguilera in Zuhair Murad

Well there was nothing flattering about this gown. Why was Burlesque even nominated – I don’t understand.

3

Leighton Meester in Burberry

The sleeves aren’t my favorite, but it is a step in the right direction for her.

3.6

Jennifer Love Hewitt in Romona Keveza

Something about this dress – or maybe just the entire dress itself – belongs in a wedding. It’s a nice gown, but not one that I would choose for her.

3.4

Dianna Agron in J. Mendel

This dress is so pretty and perfect for Dianna! It may be a simple gown, but it is worn so well that it doesn’t need any added fuss.

4.4

Eva Longoria in Zac Posen – 4

I’m tired of reviewing… so many celebs!
