After ending his career as a fashion designer back in 2005, Helmut Lang has decided to recycle his previous collections by turning them into art. Lang plans to shred 6,000 pieces from his archive to transform into sculptures, however, his work that can be found in museums today will remain there.
These pillar-like pieces will then be displayed in the “Make It Hard” exhibit at the East Hampton Gallery, The Fireplace Project beginning July 22nd – August 8th.
