[Summer 2010 secret show w/ The Cave Singers sponsored by Jansport]

With a music festival packed weekend right around the corner, many bands have already started arriving to Seattle. In addition to playing the festival that they have already signed on for, there are still a few stragglers that are hoping to snag a secret show of their own. Getting around those nasty little blackouts that festivals often times set for bands can be tricky, but can easily be done if bands are not performing under their actual band names. One reliable way of verifying if a secret show is occurring is to peruse the shows that are going on this week to see if there is a unique band name that you have never heard of. If you Google them to see that they have no history, website, photos, etc. then the chances are likely that one of the bands on either the Bumbershoot or Dave Caravan lineup are performing at that secret show. Even if the show is still secret and the band is still a band you are not familiar with, you should still try and go to the show because it’s going to be fantastic regardless being that it will be more intimate, more exclusive and special due to the secrecy.
