When the news broke out that Versace would be joining forces with popular retailer, H&M on a new collection, fashion enthusiasts went absolutely nuts. For months, we speculated about the items that would appear in the collection. Would there be lots of animal print? Sure enough there was as exemplified above. Would there be long, flowy gowns in bright and bold colors similar to the ones on the runway? Yep. Pictures of the upcoming collection were released yesterday and while my assumptions were correct, I somehow find myself to be disappointed with it. Versace makes pieces that every woman dreams of owning it, but when I peer into my closet and reflect back on my own personal style, nothing about my wardrobe screams Versace. For one, I don’t know own any pieces to begin with HOBviously, but the Versace girl has never been me. Their pieces are ones that I don’t dream of owning myself, but that doesn’t mean I can’t admire them from afar.

So no, you will not find me purchasing a $199 heart printed mini dress on November 19th.
