Tonight, my dear friend Steph and I had a lovely friend date downtown! We probably see each other at least 3-4 times a week in passing, but since we’re both so busy being educational and involved all the time, spending one-on-one time doesn’t happen too often. To start out our night, the two of us grabbed dinner at the Nordstrom Cafe sharing the Mandarin Orange Chicken Salad, Cheese Pizza, and Buttered Noodles – yes, two of which were off the kid’s menu. Later on, we met up with a few of my co-workers to catch the opening night premiere of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax in 3D. Yes, Steph and I are 20 and 21 respectively, but we are not too old for 3D movies or Dr. Seuss for that matter. The film was adorable. Great humor. Zac Efron is a dreamboat even as an animated character. Taylor Swift is still a sweetheart. And overall, it just had a great message.

After the movie, I felt this strong urge to plant a tree right then and not there – but somewhere.
