Song of the Day

Something has been weighing heavily in the back of my head recently and it’s not school. It’s not work.  It’s not even really directly related to my life, but at the same time it is. It is Justin Timberlake. With all this talk of boy bands from the UK making their break in the United States – I think to myself, that’s great – but hey, we had the original boy bands first. It all started with Jackson 5 and New Kids on the Block. Then, N’Sync and the Backtreet Boys brought it home, but let’s be real here – Justin Timberlake carried N’Sync.

Now I’m not the only one who misses his music. There’s a whole slew of us, but what I’m recognizing is that there just isn’t enough Justin Timberlake in our lives. Every now and then he’ll appear on SNL as Bon Iver (great, but not enough) or on Jimmy Fallon (performing, but for a short set,) but I need more! I need more, Justin.

So you can keep making movies like Friends With Benefits because I like those. You’re a decent actor in a romantic comedy, but don’t do stuff like In Time. You can continue to make appearances on Saturday Night Live or Late Night with JImmy Fallon, but won’t you please record us another album? I am exhausting Justified and FutureSex/LoveSounds on Spotify.
