When I was 10 years old, I had a “first boyfriend.”
Yeah you know what I’m talking about. It was one of those relationships that was never forgotten about because you got together at a skating party and he asked you to skate during the couples skate. Nothing says romance like gliding on four wheels on a dimly lit floor and some Boyz II Men song, amiright?! You never forget your first.
During the said relationship, Valentine’s Day hit – and don’t worry I’m not going to get ahead of myself and start posting Valentine’s Day posts…yet, but there is another reason for this story. On Valentine’s Day he gifted me chocolates. I was thrilled to say the least cause um…what 10 year old gets chocolates from her sweet boyfriend that isn’t a chocolate that comes in one of those large bags that the classmates usually get? These were straight up chocolates out of a box and I felt fancy. Then I bit into one and realized they were filled with the worst kind of liquid ever. RUM.
I was scarred for life. I’m pretty sure at that moment, I learned what alcohol really was and I hated it and I hated chocolates on Valentine’s Day. I didn’t hate Valentine’s Day though… don’t get things twisted here. But I’ve got to say now that I’m going back on my words. I’ve found a way to mix sweets and alcohol and at this ripe age of 22 – I feel a different kind of fancy.
When Yow Yow! learned about the wine flavored ice cream, I was on board. Fruity drinks like bellini’s can have alcohol in them too? SAY WHAT!
And now…

Bourbon and Guiness Marshmallows.
Enough said.
