Recovery Saturday

No Happy Saturday from this blogger today… instead it is RECOVERY SATURDAY. It’s also not every morning that I get to wake up wanting to watch She’s All That and it is actually playing on the Oxygen channel. First step of recovery. As we get older, we’re not going to be able to handle sicknesses like the flu as well as we used to. I always felt like when I was a kid, I was sick for a max of three days and then up and running again. Then again, I don’t have my parents making me food for me every time I’m sick now.

The road to recovering has been a rough one and I don’t want to jinx myself now by saying that I think the worst is over, but that I hope to be up to my good-standing health by the end of this weekend. I need to.

Five things that helped me recover yesterday?

  • Lemon Ginger tea with honey in it
  • Eating real food – thai from Nibbana
  • Panera Bread’s chicken noodle soup and tuna salad sandwich
  • Jamba Juice’s Orange C Booster filled with vitamins and antioxidants
  • Great company – spending the evening with boy watching Homeland while he sat four feet away from me.

How can you not appreciate someone that puts himself in danger of getting the full on flu?
