Nordstrom Brings Pinterest Into Their Stores

Nordstrom is merging social media with retail in a HUGE way. Items that have received the most re-pins on Pinterest will now be flagged in Nordstrom stores with a small tag and the signature red “P” logo for Pinterest so that customers perusing can see which ┬áitems are the most desired on the social media website.

Colin Johnson, Nordstrom corporate affairs representative, told the Huffington Post: “It’s our fastest growing social channel, so we wanted to integrate the feedback that we’re getting from our Pinterest community.”

The system is currently being trialled in 13 stores.

Readers, have you seen the tag in stores yet? I might be at the downtown location tomorrow and if I spot it, I’ll make sure to Instagram it!
