The Weekend: 5 Things

ash

Are we halfway through summer yet? Because it feels like the summer weekends are just flying by! This weekend was the weekend of all goodbyes. With my friend Margo leaving for Philly, Ashley off to San Diego and Mandi and Eric driving to San Francisco today to start the next chapters in their lives, I am excited for what’s to come. My friend Mathew asked me last night, “Are you sad?” to which I responded, “About what?” And he said, “All your friends are leaving!” Yes, that is true; they are all leaving, but I’m not sad because they’re my friends. They are going to do great things and I would hope that if I were in their place that they would be just as happy for me and I know they would. Moving on, moving forward, life – there’s nothing to be sad about.

After we got back from a night out for Ashley’s going away, she and I came home and thought we’d watch a movie. Initially, we were thinking of watching one of the best new horror movies of the season, but it was late at night and we were afraid it would keep us awake. So we finally decided to see the Katy Perry movie instead. I had heard good things, but I never wanted to admit that I wanted to watch this by myself until my best friend announced that she had felt the same way. We got through 30 minutes before we called it a night, but I’ll finish it. Eventually.

Oh yes, we got the #CandidlyNicole haircut this weekend. Still getting used to it.

You know you’ve had a good night when you end it with a slice of Hot Mama’s!

If I can avoid it, I try not to sleep in on weekends. In a city like Seattle, there’s just so much to be doing and today was definitely one of those mornings. Hannah and I have been wanting to check out the Future Beauty exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum so at 10:30AM we were in and already exploring. Unfortunately, I was unable to take any photos in this exhibit so here is a shot of me in another gallery within the museum. If you’re local and haven’t checked it out yet, I would strong advise you to because it is absolutely incredible. If you’re not local, Google it to see photos!
