I was reminded of a very important shopping hack today that I haven’t been taking advantage of. I’m not really big on Halloween, but since we’re having some major milestones this year, I decided I should probably get more into the spirit. I saw a lace mask that I wanted  at Urban Outfitters and when I was about to make the purchase last night – realized that the shipping was $22 for when I needed it to arrive.

… That’s almost as much as the mask itself.

I called a nearby store to see if it was available there and of course, it wasn’t. So I asked if I could make the purchase through them over the phone and had my day made when the other person on the line told me I could order it on the phone through the store without shipping costs!

BOOM. Use your resources. Hack online shopping. The tech of Silicon Valley is rubbing off on me.
