Jonah Hill Addresses and Apologizes for His Remarks on The Tonight Show

Wow. I literally just watched this 5 minutes ago. I had heard about this controversy all day today and I feel like I heard that he had apologized with a statement, but I almost expected that he would do it again when he had the chance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight and he did.

Typically when a celebrity apologizes for something they’ve done like say…Chris Brown or Justin Bieber, we kind of just shake it off because well, don’t they always make these kind of mistakes? Haven’t we heard the same thing over and over again?

Jonah Hill is such a powerful actor. He’s someone to be looked up to and I really appreciate how he took the time to admit that he had done wrong. His apology was sincere in a way that I haven’t seen before and more importantly he accepted responsibility. If there’s anything I hate more it’s that celebrities make excuses in their apologies or they think something was taken out of context and throw out the “Hey! This isn’t how I actually feel. I have friends that are x, y, or z.”

The worst. Excuse. Ever.

Jonah Hill isn’t going to have this swept under the rug and he shouldn’t, but he did something better tonight than most.
