So we’ve been celebrating some milestones recently and with that, we’ve been making some purchases! For all good reasons of course. And for things that are absolutely necessary. Above is a new frock that I purchased this week for an upcoming wedding from Aritzia -the Babaton Tobias Dress.

I’ve discovered that when I wait until the very last minute, I always have a much harder time of finding the right outfit for the specific event. With a little over a week before the wedding, I was really pushing it. I found myself striking out at both Zara and Nordstrom – two retailers I always thought I could count on. While I’ve always loved Aritzia, I knew that they were mostly known for neutrals and I was avoiding black, cream, and white for this wedding as expected. When my salesperson pointed me out to this dress I was weary of the vneck, but thought it was definitely sophisticated and appropriate enough for this event. The lace will also keep me a little bit cooler than other fabrics that I could have chosen and I think this upcoming weekend is going to be a hot one!
