Wedding Mondays

There once was a time when we would just have a queue of videos to use for Wedding Mondays and I would be overly excited to be sharing another video with everyone every single week. The feelings haven’t changed. I still love the series and what we’re trying to do every week – but I’ll be honest, the wedding videos aren’t coming as often as they should be or as often as I used to promise. In watching so many of these, there’s a part of me that has become highly critical of what I’m seeing, but it’s important for me to remind myself and even all of you that these videos mean so much more than what we’re seeing. A wedding video captures just a small part of a couple’s relationship and leaves out a couple’s love that we don’t see beyond that video. So yes, we’ve watched quite a few tragic videos in our day, but and even though this is obvious and may not be worth mentioning – every couple’s story is the most beautiful part about a wedding day. Not a video.

With that, I’m happy to share a video that I discovered actually a while back – two months back actually! Becky and Mark are merging two cultures with their wedding day. Their rooftop wedding is absolutly gorgeous and one that I’m sure many people can only dream of. I love how this video provides a background on celebrating their two cultures and bringing them together as one. They did a really great job with this one!

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful video. I find myself tearing up as I watched their special day unfold. In times like these where we are inundated by negative, sad news all over the media, it is so refreshing to see such a love captured between two people with very different backgrounds and to see their families embracing each other’s cultures really is something. Really enjoyed your website as well Keep up the great work, Katie!
