Warby Parker in SF

photo 4

When I learned that Warby Parker would be opening up a shop in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, I couldn’t contain my excitement! I had read about all of the other shops they had opened around the country and knowing that they would have one so close to me meant that I had to take a trip there not long after its debut.

The shop is gorgeous and set up to look like a library as shown above. The book are essentially props, but they’re real books! Natalie and I even pulled a couple out to see that they were all still entact.

I think I could probably spend hours in the shop trying on different frames. I remember two years agowhen I was ordering my first pair that I did the home try on and had five pairs sent to me. The pros about that is that you get to have more time with them. I ended up wearing a different pair each day to class to see how well they looked and fit into my day-to-day life. The con? Having to just pick 5 pairs to start out with!

The shop is full of little trinkets like this. I’m dying to know what it’s like to have this job of setting up all of the Warby Parker stores and curating a theme for each one.

Shopping is always more fun when you can just…take things! The postcards at the front of the store are completely free and so so cute. Each one has a different area of San Francisco. We took almost one of each and I haven’t decided quite yet what I want to do with them. I’ll frame at least one, collect the rest, and maybe just send one out when I feel like sending a quick “hello!” to a friend!

It’s so nice to have the Warby Parker shop nearby. Now I know exactly where to go first when I start hunting down my second pair.
