2011 People’s Choice Awards

Ashley Tisdale in Farah Angsana

I haven’t rated looks in forever, but I might just start up again. I give this look a 4.7 because I am loving her resort-esque dress even during the winter time. The blend of chartreuse and pink in the dress help bring out her warm skin tone and are really quite complimentary to the entire look itself. She also gets points for doing the boho look without looking homeless hippy.

The Roommate

A new thriller starring Leighton Meester, Minka Kelly, Aly Michalka, and Cam Gigandet.

Rebecca [Meester] starts to become wildly obsessed with her new college roommate Sara, [Kelly] but wants her all to herself. She begins eliminating people from Sara’s life to make their friendship stronger.

This wouldn’t be the first time I’ve seen this plot line, even Lifetime has made an original movie with the same synopsis, but I would love to see a crazy Leighton. It’s like Blair Waldorf x10.

Hellcats

Tonight is the premiere of the new CW television series Hellcats starring Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale. The show is about the drama that come along with being a part of a competitive cheerleading squad at the college level. It’s actually based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders written by The Frisky writer Kate Torgovnick.

Synopsis that I jacked from Wikipedia:

Hellcats revolves around Marti, a pre-law college student at Lancer College in Memphis, Tennessee who comes from the wrong side of the town. When budget cutbacks and her mother’s constant carelessness cause her to lose her scholarship, she looks for a new scholarship. She overhears that one of the cheerleaders has become injured and a place on the team is available. She hates cheerleading but upon hearing that the new member would get a scholarship she uses her dancing skills from high school to try out. Seeing no other option, Marti fights for a spot on the Hellcats the legendary cheer squad in Lancer and opt for the Scholarship that comes with it.

The girls are covering the new issue of Seventeen Magazine and though I am not a fan – I still really like the photos from this shoot.
