Dining at the American Girl Cafe

This is just an all-around fantastic video. I’ve been hoarding this since September to watch at a later date because a) I didn’t have the time immediately (that’s right, too busy I can’t spare 10 minutes) and b) I have always wanted to eat at the American Girl Cafe. It’s actually very close to me at the Stanford Shopping Center so I feel like I can pretty much go whenever I please. The only downside of this experience though is that I never owned an American Girl doll, myself. Too much $$$$ amirite?!

Whatever the case, I certainly had a fascination with it growing up and while I couldn’t own a doll myself… I was a subscriber of the American Girl magazine for several years. Michael and Molly are hilarious in this video which makes me want to watch more from them.

The Cast of “Girls” As American Girl Dolls

BuzzFeed recently wrote a post about how your old American Girl dolls collection could now be worth so much more money if you decided to sell them – especially the ones that have been discontinued. Since American Girl dolls were nearly every little girl’s childhood, this post received a lot of attention. It only made sense for them to continue on that train. Yesterday, I came across a post of theirs recreating the cast of HBO’s “Girls” into the dolls and they’ve got the looks spot-on for the most part. Along with what the dolls actually look like, they’ve provided detailed descriptions of them as well, which you can find here.

My Life Is Embarrassing

When my radio woke me up to the announcement of the new American Girl store in Washington last week, the 8-year old inside of me freaked out a little bit. The weird thing about this story is that I don’t even own an American Girl doll. I just wanted to eat at their bistro because I hear they serve some cute small plates.

But seriously, check out this sample menu here and try to tell me that you don’t want to see it for yourself.
