Anna Kendrick – Cups
Today’s Song of the Day is from the film “Pitch Perfect.” For some reason, this movie became much more of a hit when it was released on DVD back in December instead of when it was in theaters, but it’s totally an underrated film and I kind of love it…mostly because Anna Kendrick is just a bad ass.
Turns out the song has become such a hit, that they are bringing it to mainstream radio. Bad news? They kind of remixed it and… the poppy version is not as good as the original. (Is it ever?) The song hits radio stations March 26th.

50/50
While there are a few films I am excited to see this summer (the last Harry Potter, the Art of Getting By, Bad Teacher, Friends With Benefits, and Crazy Stupid Love.) I think that I am most excited for 50/50. Technically the movie comes out September 30th, which is late summer, but still sure to be a hit at the box office.
Directed by Jonathan Levine, the story centers on Adam (Gordon-Levitt), a young man living a great life. He has a job that he’s passionate about, works with his best friend (Rogen) and has a stunningly beautiful girlfriend (Howard). Then he goes to the doctor and finds out that he has a rare for of spinal cancer that has left him with a 50% chance of survival. This world totally rocked by the news, not only does he have to deal with the effects of his disease, but also how it affects everyone in his life.

What you’ve all been waiting for!
Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab Couture – 4.5
Big things are about to happen for Anna in terms of her acting career and her appearance on the red carpet. It’s too bad that Up in the Air did not win any Oscars last night because that is one of my favorite movies from last year and she was great in it. This gown is beautiful. I’m glad she didn’t go overboard with it. Only thing I would change would be the shoes.

Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen. 3.5 I can’t help but compare this to the dress she wore at the Golden Globes, which I liked so much better!

Kristen Chenoweth – 4.5! Usually I get a little worried when I see petite women wearing longer dresses, but Kristen looks amazing! Some may say it’s too much, but I think it’s just right.
