Less posts, less commenting, etc. in this past month – it’s all because I’m gearing up for adult life and trying to make the most of my college life while I can. It will be interesting to see the direction in which Yow Yow! takes after I graduate because this blog was first created when I was just a second quarter freshman here at Seattle University. Together, we’ve grown a lot since then, but as always (and to be extremely cliche,) all things must come to an end.

Yow Yow, however, won’t.

My dear friend Megan Newell recently helped me design a graduation announcement for my big day and she did a phenomenal job at creating one that was truly me.  I am very lucky to have such wonderful and talented friends in my life.

Using 873 stock images, BBDO Brazil and director Cisma created this video for their client Getty Images. Usually stock images are something to laugh at, but in this case, this video is just beautiful. The entire research and construction of this project took six months to complete.

One of my favorite blogs, BLDG 25, for the  Free People brand has just undergone a makeover! I’ve been reading the blog for years, but unfortunately with school – I only get around to it every few months. I’m thinking it’s about time to upgrade to daily basis status, what do you guys think?

When the sun comes out, the scooters and bikes are all OVER campus. As soon as I watched this video of the clever creation that entails just attaching a chalk stick to your wheels, I was sold. In fact, I was very close to looking up scooters for myself up on Amazon just now. How pretty would our campus look if we had pieces of chalk art everywhere? I mean…as if our campus isn’t gorgeous enough already.

While this idea seems like a lot of fun, the entrepreneurs who started it or still trying to get the project to stand on its own two feet. Learn more about pledging to the project here.

We are most definitely headed into a future where everything becomes much more simplified. There is something about minimalism that gives it the ability to make everything sleek and clean while still providing the same message and information. Too put it simply, I’m just a fan of things that aren’t…cluttered?

Every state has their own niche. Sometimes it can take a little bit more time to find out what that niche is. This infographic has helped me learn how to appreciate every state the way they are even if I’ve only ever been to a handful of them.

Anyone curious as to what Washington is great at?
