There’s a whole lot of makeup and manicured eyebrows here. I don’t know how I feel about this, but of course I’m going to watch the season. I gotta see who Desiree picks!
Check out all of the contenders here. Unfortunately age and occupation are not included.
Throwback…Tuesday? BuzzFeed compiled some vintage photographs from Saved By The Bell back in the day of the cast behind the scenes. It’s a little strange to be looking at these because back when I was a kid all I ever saw them as were the characters they played. When you’re a character for that many years and that many seasons though, sometimes you just get stuck.
It’s Monday morning which means that every day we get through means that we’re just a little bit closer to the weekend. This past weekend, however, was centered around one aspect of my life – a community that I had grown to love. Through a visit, I was finally able to close the door on one chapter and say goodbye to a beautiful space that taught me how to love, to share, to forgive, and to heal. Camp Don Bosco, what an amazing place you are.
On that note, I wanted to share with you all a few more spaces – but in the sense of Weddings because it is after all, Wedding Mondays here on Yow Yow! Buzzfeed recently compiled a list of 22 venues that are some of the coolest places to get married and Washington has snagged two of those spots with Sodo Park and Treehouse Point in Issaquah. Click here to view the rest of the list!
I haven’t dabbled in the Vine app yet, but the person who created this “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal” series is kind of…someone we want to be friends with.
I caught this over the weekend, but didn’t think of posting it until now. I wish I had enough guts to photo bomb someone, but I totally don’t. This girl is a winner. Sorry Kris Jenner, that may be what you get for thinking you could pull off this over-sized Chanel handbag.
If I could re-live any part of college all over again, it would definitely be the spring quarter of my senior year. As I return back to Seattle University and am greeted by all of my senior friends who are completely clueless about what post grad life looks like, I decide to let them ride out the bliss. There is really no sense in “shattering the glass” for them now. That would just be plain mean. However, BuzzFeed does just that. And I’m sure my senior friends will look at this and chuckle thinking that this is hilarious, but in my head, I just think – “Welcome to your new life!”
BuzzFeed and I always seem to be on a similar page and have the same thoughts, but they just write posts about things I never think about posting. Today’s example? Why does Jaden Smith always look worried. On the red carpet, out and about, with his family – you can tell that the kid is seriously concerned about something. What that something is, we may never know, but BuzzFeed has provided us with the captions.

A close co-worker of mine happens to be considered a late 20s while I am the early 20s. We get along just fine, but every now and then there are some differences in opinion. I look to her for advice and she’s got some light to shed since she’s been through experiences that I just haven’t. To give you a run-down on some of the conversations we have, BuzzFeed went ahead and simplified this post for me in GIFs.
I’ve never really been that great at saying goodbyes. I especially hate saying goodbyes to things I shouldn’t to say goodbye to – like Charlie leaving “Girls.” It has been eating up inside all week because a “Girls” episode without Charlie? Well, why bother watching, right? BuzzFeed compiled a list of 23 things we can now say goodbye to now that Charlie is leaving “Girls” and it pretty much just confirms my thoughts on this. NO ONE WANTS THIS TO HAPPEN.
I have been finding so many interesting things on the internet recently that I pretty much want to blog everything! I’d do that, but then you’d get 20 posts in one day and who has time for that? Very rarely has anyone watched me actually blog and even then I think it’s such a weird process. Maybe we can include that on the video blogs someday, Veronica? Anyways, today we’re already at 10 posts and I must confess to you all, I’ve got some blog projects I need to hit tonight! [More on that later] So laziness is about to occur and you’re gonna get a roundup of some of the best things that I came across on the internet today in one post!
4. Want to know all of the songs that Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake are rapping in their “History of Raps?” SPIN has got you covered. I am adding these to my Spotify playlists as we speak.
5. Mariners’ game attendees this season are going to dine well. [Source]
6. I took the Bring It On quiz and scored 10/12. Not bad!
Personally, Suchin Pak would be number one gal because she’s always been my idol, but okay – Brian Williams – you would be a close second. We could talk about your daughter being the older 20-something version of myself.
My co-worker and I were actually just having a chat about counting calories the other day. When I was a kid, a few of my friends had mentioned to me that they were part of programs and counting their calories so I wanted to join in too – to be mindful of what I was putting into my body, but also because I saw it as extra math or a puzzle. That really only lasted a day because I realized calorie calculators just weren’t equipped to measure the types of foods that I was eating. Hello Kitty Boo-Berry pop tarts and all that other stuff.
As a kid, I used to love coming home to Total Request Live after school. No joke – I even voted for my favorite songs every now and then. 98 Degrees’ “I Do (Cherish You)” – how can you not want that to be at the top of the countdown? And if it wasn’t number one consistently, it was life-shattering. Just kidding, no it wasn’t, but at that age your feelings for all things that shouldn’t really matter in life somehow are priority.
TRL was a great program that embodied some of my favorite things – music and to be exact – mainstream music, Suchin Pak with the daily news, DJs like Damien Fahey and Hilarie Burton, and of course celebrity guests. Today BuzzFeed reminded us that even though TRL was cancelled long ago, there will forever be proof that it existed in the form of the show’s photo booth evidence.
I hope you have all had a very lovely Valentine’s Day so far. It’s not over yet so we don’t really know what else is in store for us, but I can definitely say today that Valentine’s Day in the adult world is not that exciting. It’s not as exciting as when you were a kid and you had the whole afternoon dedicated to a class Valentine’s Day party where you would decorate a cookie at a station, pass out Hello Kitty valentines (oh just me?) or spend the entire day consuming sugar. So much sugar. Seriously though, Valentine’s Day sweets > all other holiday candies.
Valentine’s Day in the office was peachy, but nothing will ever take the place of the excitement I had on Valentine’s Day as a kid or even in college and celebrating with my friends.
