After releasing a number of mix tapes and creating a hit song out of “Opposite of Adults,” the duo behind Chiddy Bang is finally ready to settle down and drop their debut album. “Breakfast” on February 28, 2012.
“Breakfast”
“Handclaps & Guitars”
“Mind Your Manners”
“Ray Charles”
“Does She Love Me”
“Run It Back”
“Out 2 Space”
“Whatever We Want”
“Talking To Myself”
“Happening”
“Baby Roulette”
“4th Quarter”
The song “Breakfast” uses the backing track of a Kate Nash’s “Skeleton Song” and is actually one of my favorites! I’ve had their version of the song for some time now so it’s interesting that they are just now releasing it officially for their album.

Today’s Song of the Day is this remix for Gorillaz’ “Stylo.” I had the most vivid dream about a Gorillaz secret show last night when I imagined myself meeting the members of the band. I never actually did a lot of research on them beforehand so I had know idea how many members there actually were. I was pretty disappointed to find that there are actually two in real life, not five.
Lately, I have been listening to a lot of indie electropop mixed with hip hop. I’d like to introduce you to a group called Chiddy Bang. The duo from Philly have intertwined their lyrics and beats with MGMT, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, Q-Tip, Passion Pit, and more. Guess what? They don’t suck! There are some musicians that attempt to do this and fail, but Chiddy Bang does not. They’re set to release their new album next year, but to give us all a little taste they decided to release their eight-track EP entitled The Preview this week. That’s practically a full length!
I just downloaded this album today, but I’ve been listening to some of their other tracks on Playlist, which I have been quite impressed with. I’m going to leave you with my favorite of theirs called Opposite of Adults.
