Yow Yow’s Yearly Recap

We didn’t intend to be as late on this post as we actually are, but unfortunately, we’ve just been a little bit under the weather. Also, if I’m being honest, I was actually dreading writing this post for the longest time because I knew how these stats would look and I wasn’t particularly excited about them. In 2015, these are the most dismal numbers we’ve ever seen. But instead of throwing ourselves a pity party, we’re going to share the numbers and then we’re going to move forward because I paid for another year on this domain and we’re not going to let it go to waste. I’m still really excited about Yow Yow! I went through each month in 2015 and quickly scanned through all of the posts that I wrote – some that I laughed at and some that I had forgotten I had even written this year. Writing in 2015 was hard and it’s often times difficult to juggle this and a full-time job that I really care about, but if we can do this for six years, we can do a 7th.

Stats from 2014 will be on the left and italicized while stats from 2015 will be right and bold:

1,400,602 total visits to Yow Yow! – – – – – – – – – – – 1,471,487 total visit to Yow Yow!

In just 2015 alone, we had 70,885 visits to Yow Yow!

Kanye West Has Near Death Experience in Seattle

“The notorious diva lost his rag after the tiny card was thrown on the stage in Washington. And he threatened to have a whole section ejected after claiming the act was life-threatening.”

The Sun has got the scoop!

Microsoft Celebrates New Store Opening in Bellevue w/ Miley Cyrus Concert

If you’re trying to figure out what Microsoft and Miley Cyrus have in common, you may not be able to wrap your head around it. I’m still trying to figure out why these two things are even in the same headline together. On November 18, Microsoft will open their new store within Bellevue Square, but they don’t seem too concerned with making themselves the center of attention. At 10 AM when the store opens, the first 1,000 people to visit the store will receive a pair of passes to an exclusive in-store concert with teenage sensation Miley Cyrus.

What. How BIG is this store?

I’m not going to lie, I freaked out a little bit. I’m not a huge fan of Miley, but I am a fan of Hannah Montana. Did anyone happen to catch the newest episode Sunday night? Not embarrassed to say that I cried at the end of it. Just sayin’.

The Rocket Summer 11/8

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65XOKasYq3k]

I did a little digging tonight to find some videos of Bryce’s performance from this past Monday so I could re-live one of the greatest nights of my life?

YouTube, you’re always coming through for me in the end.

What do you know? These happen to be two of my favorite songs.

Soundgarden Secret Show?

And the reason behind my last post is because Soundgarden may or may not be having a secret show tomorrow night at Showbox at the Market. If you don’t have plans for your Friday night, you might as well play the game right? I’m not much of a Soundgarden fan myself, but I am a fan of secret shows.
Here’s what we know
1) there is NO other show scheduled for the Market for that night
2) Chris Cornell just tweeted: “Beautiful spring day in Seattle. Cherry trees drooping under the wieght of huge blossoms. Evil is lurking somewhere. I can feel it.”
3) The “show” may be a private party, and some sort of “filming” is supposed to be happening
