Introducing: The Waffogato

Is this not the most amazing thing you have ever seen? I know it’s only 9AM, but who says you can’t have dessert for breakfast? I was introduced to Affogatos a couple of months ago at Pizzeria Delfina so when this popped up on Refinery29 the other day, I was immediately brought back to that unforgettable moment and first bite.

The Waffogato is waffle-shaped ice cream (so adorbs!) dropped in maple syrup flavored coffee. Holy sweetness – now that’s something to wake you up in the morning! The Waffogato was created by Dominque Ansel Bakery – the same people that brought you the infamous cronut – and looks exactly like it does in the photograph above. When everything has all melted, it looks like a little mini milkshake at the end.

Yum. Is it brunch yet?

The Frozen S’more

Just a couple of weeks ago, it seemed like the Cronut was taking over as the trendiest dessert. This week, it’s the frozen s’more. Does that even make sense to anyone? S’more are supposed to be hot and honestly, I can’t imagine eating a frozen one to taste better.

Dominique Ansel, the creator of the cronut, has unleashed his latest creation, the frozen s’more. Each one sells for $7 and is made up of a blend of vanilla custard ice cream and the perfect amount of torching by Dominique Ansel himself (and only himself).

Suggested way to eat a frozen s’more: immediately. You probably don’t want to save it for later.
