Drake pays a visit when in Seattle
Drake visted the grave site of Jimmy Hendrix while he was in Seattle for the Bumbershoot music festival just a few weeks ago.
“I’m a huge fan—I play the DVD of Hendrix at Woodstock to pump me up before I perform,” Drake told Rolling Stone. “Watching him go out there at 10 in the morning in shitty weather and conquer the crowd always gives me a little more adrenaline. I just left a little letter for Jimi at his grave.”

There hasn’t been one rately lately…whoa whoa… did that just happen? Did I just acquire the Asian syndrome of saying my r’s for l’s. It MUST be getting late.
Anyways, I’ve been reading so much bizarre news that I don’t believe any of it. Maybe during school, I skimmed everything, but now that I’m actually taking the time to read through my daily news I am hearing some weird stuff. In fact, it’s too much for me.
I do, however, want to share with you the weirdest news I’ve heard today.
In New York yesterday, a free Drake and Hansen concert [Yes...Hansen] was canceled because instead of the expected 10,000 attendees, 20,000 showed up. People got mad, a riot broke out, bottles were being broken and faces were getting smashed and not in the good way that you hope for at a concert.
Two people were arrested on minor charges and six people suffered from minor injuries according to police.
I’m still confused though, why would 20,000 people EVER show up for these two combined? Is anyone else wondering this too or is it just me?

Michael Jackson’s death has inspired rapper Mase to make his comeback in the music industry. This is…news! I still remember when my brother and I would rap and sing a long to his songs when I was seven years old. No joke.
Before Diddy went through a slew of name changes, way back in the day, Mase was brought in and signed to Diddy’s label where the two of them collaborated on many songs together.
So what will be Mase’s first release in five years? A remix of Drake’s “Best I Ever Had.”

HOBviously, this was going to happen.
Jimmy Brooks from Degrassi AKA Audrey Graham (real name) AKA Drake on the radio, Mr. Best I Ever Had is signing with Young Money Entertainment founded by Lil’ Weezy.
How did we not know this was going to happen? They’ve been collaborating together since the beginning… Lil’ Wayne even had Drake perform with him at shows, but the two are finally closing the deal.
Word on the street is that Drake turned town a $2 million offer from Atlantic Records because Lil Wayne doubled THAT. Yeah $4 million just to sign him.
Drake’s debut album “Thank Me Later” is slated for a late 2009 release. Look out for guest appearances by Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne and Jay-Z on this album.
