Are you tired of ringing in the New Year with just flutes of champagne? WE ARE. Why not celebrate 2012 with a lineup of drinks that will remind you how great this year was. Election Day Mojito pictured above? Definitely on my list of drinks to try.
Can’t afford real Rodarte? Missed the Rodarte for Target collaboration a few years back? Well, here’s one more chance (and hopefully not the last) to snag Rodarte at a price that you may never see again. The Rodarte for Starbucks collection has arrived in stores and is ready to be adored by the masses. The collection is modern, crisp, and minimal. Would you expect anything less than stellar from the Mulleavy sisters?
I once had a Black Forest Chocolate – Tini and to be honest? I didn’t love it. Maybe it was too much chocolate. Maybe I couldn’t adapt to the fact that I was having a sweet drink with alcohol in it. Whatever the case, I didn’t finish it and I’ve never looked back. However, hearing about an alcoholic milkshake is something that I think I could maybe get behind. There are several restaurants in the Seattle area serving them up and I wanna know… does it sound appealing to you?
Does alcohol belong in our classic favorites? Seattle Met Blogs have provided a few places where you can get your fix and I think I just might!
At my old job, my routine involved grabbing myself one of these before I started the day. Now, I am somehow getting by without it! At least I know that I always have the option of making it myself if I wanted to.
Guess what kind of face I made when I saw THIS for the first time?
Today, I discovered my dream wedding dress is not within the range of my future wedding dress budget.

Throughout the summer, I have eaten at the Nordstrom Cafe for dinner nearly 5-6 times. Every time I have gone, there has always been the same elderly couple and today (after inquiring) my waiter told me that they come in almost every Friday. They are just as cute as I believed them to be and he orders breakfast for dinner and she orders the pasta. It was the sweetest thing.
Courtney and I pulled over to watch some donkeys on the side of the road today on the way home.
Lance Armstrong – bummer bro.
There’s no point in saving money for the sake of just saving it. You should be saving with an intent to use it towards something that you really want whether it’s for yourself or for someone else. Sup v-ron.
Chocolate Croissants will always be my most favorite pastry in the world.

I attended my first “fashion” event in Seattle the other evening celebrating a new line by “Built For Man!” The event took place at Bako on Capitol Hill and was publicized by Social Werks Communication. Since this was my first time attending one of these, I really had no idea what to expect. Michelle and I mingled with our friends nearby and took advantage of the complimentary drinks. I even sampled a few of the appetizers provided by Bako and they were extraordinary! Char siu pork? Keep it comin’ please! Every guest received a small gift certificate for attending the event to be used when they return and I cannot wait to use it.
Starting next week, Starbucks will introduce a new challenge to their fans on Facebook revolving around their popular seasonal drink, the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Fans will compete to show how badly they want the drink to be released first in their city for the season and the winning city will receive the drink one week earlier than the rest of the world!
[The Facebook application] will include three different points-based activities. Beverage fans can earn points for city shout-outs, solving a daily challenge or making a daily creation.
A daily challenge might task a Facebook user to watch a video and answer trivia questions, Wheeler says. A daily creation, for instance, would have a user create and share a postcard for his or her city. “We’re providing the tools for users to create art and promote it,” Wheeler adds.
The contest will run from August 22nd-26th and the winning cities will receive the drink on August 30th.
So it has been three months since my last “A Collection” post…These are my favorite posts and while they take forever to make, I honestly believe that the more time that goes by, the better these posts turn out to be. I made a promise to Veronica that I would have finished it three weeks ago and here it is. Better late than never.
This collection was created with the theme of being selfless. I never make up these themes beforehand. It is only when I can look through it as a whole that I begin to notice these patterns that arise out of the photographs. I am talking about the Japan Relief and TOMS’ One Day Without Shoes. Sometimes, giving back feels so much larger than us that we are overwhelmed by it, but there are much smaller ways to contribute. You can give back to the people you already know in even the simplest ways.
It is the eve of my 21st birthday and there is no article fitting enough for today than one that describes how America has the 56th highest alcohol consumption rate in the world. In this article by MainST, you will learn which cities in America are most drunk, how much the average American consumes on a yearly basis, and a smattering of facts along the way that show us how our drinking is leading us down the road to alcoholism.
Most college students have one week of dead week and one week of finals. This student has no dead week and two weeks of finals. I envy the lives of those who have finished college sometimes and are out in the real world when I spent the majority of my days studying and classing.
You would think that living in Seattle would have taught me how to be a better coffee drinker. It has not. In fact, I stray away from caffeine typically. No cokes, no chai, nothing. This week I needed it so I bought myself those already bottled Starbucks drinks. Haven’t had caffeine in a long time so the effects were a lot stronger than I imagined. Then I remembered what caffeine can do to you. It can give you the Jessie Spano Syndrome.
This is probably one of the most epic episodes in all of the Saved By the Bell seasons. Let me break it down for you even though the chart says it all: Jessie gets stressed. She has a test and she has to practice with her band. There aren’t enough hours in the day! The pressure is on. She discovers caffeine pills and she takes them until she becomes crazy “I’M SO EXCITED I’M SO EXCITED I’M SO SCARED!”
Best episode ever. Thank you Nathaniel James for creating this graph and bringing back these memories.
Well… watching that video might not make you laugh
