Cupcakes and Cashmere Unveils Clothing Line

This morning, one of my favorite bloggers – Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere – revealed some very big news! She’s on the verge of launching her very first clothing line that will be sold at Nordstrom and ShopBop! I’ve been admiring Emily’s style for years and have been following her blog for longer than I’ve even had Yow Yow! Emily paved the way as one of the first notable bloggers and has made Cupcakes and Cashmere something more than just about fashion. In addition to featuring her style, she has discussed recipes, decor, career advice, and lifestyle tips. Some of the more important posts that I can still remember as being my favorites are the ones that have a huge impact on her life like getting married and starting a family with her husband. In the blogging world, Emily is kind of a role model for me so I’m very excited for this news and any news that is to come! Here’s a sneak peak at some of the pieces we can look forward to on July 6th for her Fall 2015 line.

Wedding Mondays

Happy Monday Morning!

Today’s Wedding video is one that I absolutely love. Not only was it designed by one of my favorites – Sharkpig, but it highlights one of my favorite bloggers – Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere. It wasn’t too long ago that we posted up a sneak peak of her wedding video, but now we’ve got the full version and it is worth every minute of your time. Enjoy!

Wedding Mondays

I honestly could not have chosen a better wedding video to feature for this Valentine’s Day week. Emily Schuman has been a blogging icon to me for years and earlier this year she married her fiance Geoffrey in the most classic and vintage inspired wedding I’ve ever seen. These two love bugs are adorable and I think if I could have a wedding like this filled with such romance and love, I would be a very happy girl someday.

Enjoy!

By the way, this video was done by Shark Pig!

Sweet Monday Morning

[vimeo http://vimeo.com/34048163]

Good morning readers!

If you’ve been following me for some time now, then you know that I prefer to start my mornings with and end my nights with a wedding video. To be honest, this doesn’t always happen for me because I don’t have the time to watch all the videos! I did, however, restart my blog roll again, which means hitting up quite a few wedding blogs. You wouldn’t believe how many months behind I am on my favorite Green Wedding Shoes.

This is going to be a good week for us though. I can feel it in my bones. And since I know this method always works for me, I will be giving you a wedding video every Monday to start you off on the week. Sound good?

This first one is by Shark Pig! I’ve heard of them, but until today I never watched their videos. I knew they were going to be fantastic though because my blogging icon Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere recently had them film her wedding video and everything she does in life just happens to be inspiring.

Work.Place

Leave it to movies like Office Space to implant it into every kid’s head that any future job we have will place us in a cubicle. Who let a nine-year old kid like myself watch Office Space? Who knows? Clearly the writers hadn’t seen the office space available from Satellite Office; these well-furnished offices create a beautiful environment to work in, as detailed on the https://www.colt.net/de/resources/colt-vernetzt-vier-standorte-des-business-center-anbieters-satellite-office/ website.

We currently live in a world where jobs have become much more exciting than they used to be. You could work at corporations like Google and reap all of the benefits that you could ever dream of. You could be a self-fulling artist working in the comfort of your own home. Or you could have no job at all and pick up blogging as a hobby until you get so much free stuff from it that you figured you might as well decide to call it your job title.

Whatever your occupation may be, I find workplaces to be absolutely fascinating. I’ve marvelled at the offices of some of the places I’ve visited, the way that some of these offices work is just incredible. We’ve moved past the idea that a simple desk is enough to get on with the day, but many offices are now making use of Office Pods to help lower distractions at work, bright and colourful art work is a popular theme as well. These places are light and open, and clearly this is the new way to run an office, so yes I’ve marvelled at some of the offices that I’ve visited, but I’ve also taken mental notes of the observations I’ve seen. A workplace isn’t always about where your office is located, what floor it is on, or if there’s a rooftop deck that you are given full access to. Okay, but that’s actually one of the best perks. A good place of work can be crucial for a successful business, though this can be hard to find. While many businesses prefer to rent commercial property, if you find a place you absolutely love, you may want to try and buy it outright. You may be able to do this at somewhere like allsop auction, which specialises in property auction. So, if you’re keen on finding the commercial property of your dreams, this could be the solution you’re looking for.

Ultimately, there is no denying that workplace culture has come a long way over the past few years. For example, alongside unique job perks like free meals, and childcare discounts, some workplaces now also offer additional paid time off (PTO) that can be accrued in addition to any annual entitlements. It might seem intuitive, but providing extra opportunities for employees to take time off shows members of staff that their efforts are appreciated, and this can be highly motivational.

Similarly, to me, a workplace is YOUR desk – your space. It’s the place where you can center yourself and let the inspiration and creativity flow.

Carlie Armstrong is a Portland-based photographer who has recently decided to capture the workplaces of printmakers, glass blowers, woodworkers and more.

I’ve actually been trying to find a way to turn my desk into more of an office space for both school-work, work, and blog-related activities. My favorite so far has been Cupcakes and Cashmere blogger Emily Schuman’s office space!
