Flora and Henri

Flora and Henri is a cute little shop located right next to Molly Moon’s on Capitol Hill. Every time I’m in line for ice cream, I always find myself peering into the windows of Flora and Henri. They have the cutest clothes and toys for children. Their fabric comes  from Europe with designs catered to infants – ten-year-olds. They currently have two locations: a shop in Seattle and a shop in the Upper East Side of New York.

Here are just a few of their items:

Terry Hoodie [$61.50-67.20]

Yellow Pepper Print Dress [$95.20-98.00] Cotton Cardigan [$63.00-85.40]

Striped Cardigan [$50-72]

The New Black and White

I don’t think I will ever stop being impressed with the talented and creative minds that walk this Earth. I’m amazed at some of things that people have done and am glad that someone has thought of the idea to do these types of things. I’m so appreciative for the art in this world whether it is through voice, sound, paint, drawings, fashion, photography etc. I’m also very grateful to have grown up with art in my life.

Anyways! Pencil vs. Camera is a project developed by African-born and Belgium painter, illustrator, portraitist, caricaturist, and photographer Ben Heine. Clearly, he is a man of many artistic talents. Ben Heine captures some of Europe’s greatest views by mixing reality with imagination and lets his drawings fill in the blanks for us.

They’re Backkkkkk!

[[click image to read full article]]

So I haven’t been able to snag myself a copy of Seattle Sound Magazine lately, but I recently stumbled upon Eric’s new blog that he started when he got back from his two-year mission in Argentina. But I read the article, and found it really quite interesting. These two lead such interesting lives and now that they are off hiatus, things are really starting up quick for them again. You know who they are… Myspace made their popularity soar. Their hit song, “Beauty in the Breakdown,” was adored by fans all over the world and searching them on Youtube may bring you a hundred if not more attempted covers of their songs.  Currently, the guys are touring the UK.

ANYWAYS. the article is worth reading, the photos shot by Kristen Truax, founder of Blush Photo who has been shooting at shows forever and is someone that I admire very much. It is great to have Eric home again… well… sort of home.
