After two days in a row of not blogging, I’m spending my “Friday” night getting caught up on everything I missed! Miguel performed “Coffee (F****** in the Morning) on GMA this week and it was so so good. I haven’t had a chance to listen to Miguel’s new album yet, but I’ve been waiting for this for a very long time since my friends got me hooked on Miguel back in January. Can’t wait to sit down and listen to it from start to finish.

I believe this letter of a brother writing to Santa wishing the kids at school would stop bullying his twin sister Amber went viral last week, but I finally had the chance to watch the story featured on Good Morning America and it nearly brought me to tears. First of all, these kids are just eight years old and the fact that the brother is willing to give up all his Christmas presents and everything else so that his sister can get everything that she wants is the sweetest thing ever. Siblings rule, basically.
Not only did he wish the bullying would stop, but that his sister Amber would be able to meet her favorite band – Big Time Rush. Dreamboats! And yes, that wish came true.

This morning, former Yow Yow! interviewee Hollis Wong-Wear performed the hit single “White Walls” alongside Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on Good Morning America! I watched the program as long as I could before I headed off to work, but unfortunately had to miss the performance. Luckily, there’s a thing called YouTube that always comes in for the clutch. Congrats Hollis – you looked fantastic!
Yesterday, when Mariah Carey and Miguel performed their new hit single #Beautiful on Good Morning America, the audience was greeted to a not-so-sweet ad-lib from the diva. It appeared as if she was singing over the track at all the wrong times even. It was confusing. Since the performance was not up to par – Good Morning America decided to make corrections to it so that by the time it aired on the West Coast, that mistake was erased. If it’s not officially, it should be. Britney Spears has officially released her new album Femme Fatale and …it’s actually pretty good! I can’t deny it. I went into previewing the album with a somewhat open mind, but only because I didn’t want to get my hopes up. Femme Fatale is a pop album and nothing more. I do, however, appreciate the electronic beats (is that a little dub step I hear?) every now and then. The lyrics are the epitome of any pop song sung by Britney Spears. They typically involve guys, lust, seduction, etc. which is no surprise to us, but it is so damn catchy that you kind of fall in love with it. I don’t feel all that embarrassed singing along to it the way I do when I sing Katy Perry’s “Firework” out loud.
Tomorrow morning, we will see a slough of “live” performances by Britney Spears on Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel. It’s been a tough journey for Britney, but it’s nice to see that things are starting to turn around for her. Summer tour, here we come!
I predict that I will be listening to this CD on repeat for at least a week. There are definitely way more songs that I love more than I hate from this album.
– Chris Brown exploded in a rage in his dressing room after appearing on Good morning America this morning. It was speculated that his actions were triggered when asked about the Rihanna incident. However, Chris Brown was fully aware of which questions would be asked beforehand as he gave approval. Chris Brown allegedly used a chair to smash the window of his dressing room. – Michael Lohan was arrested on domestic violence charges today with the bail being set to $200,000. [Source]

– NBC has basically canceled “Perfect Couples.” [Source]
– I was so disappointed when I heard that MTV had given Lauren Conrad’s new show the boot especially because it was supposed to be shot like a documentary and be beautifully artistic. While we may never see the show, we do have a chance to see the opening sequence that could have been done by Angela and Ithyle who are also the duo behind those Kindle ads!
