Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween y’all! I hope you’re all having a safe and fun Halloween. I truly felt like an adult today when my co-worker’s kids came into our office for trick-or-treating around the cubicles. I naturally found myself being that girl that asked their parents how many pieces of candy they were allowed, but regardless still gave them a handful each. Kids want that – I know – I used to be one. It’s nice to see everyone getting into the Halloween spirit, but it’s not just the people, it’s the blogs too! Gawker decided to dress themselves up as Tumblr today! Not bad…
DIY Couple Costumes
Last year, I didn’t celebrate Halloween because I was on a retreat the entire weekend. This year, I just didn’t celebrate because I was simply tired. Do you know how much energy it takes to get dressed up and go out on any regular night? And now you have to throw in a costume?! Also, a night out is something I can no longer handle. Four months of being out of college can do that to you.
I promise I was all set to do Halloween this year, but when I gave up on my original costume, I pretty much gave up on the holiday altogether. I stumbled upon Flavorwire’s 13 Last-Minute DIY Couple Costumes. It’s another ‘why didn’t I think of this?’ moment.
Creative Jack-O-Lanterns
Would you believe that I have never carved an actual pumpkin? As a kid, I was much too small and not coordinated enough to do such a thing without hurting myself. Apparently that fear has never really gone away and to this day, I still have not carved a pumpkin. In fact, this year when I suggested we go to the pumpkin patch I said that I wanted to paint a pumpkin (because hello! all the fashionistas of the world are doing it!) Will I be able to carve one this year? Maybe a baby one? Or will I just settle for painting…
In the meantime, Refinery 29 just posted a few photos of some creative LA locals who designed pumpkins this year and there are definitely some that I wouldn’t mind just having in my own place for looks. The stylish pumpkin above was designed by Nony Tochterman, the owner and designer at Petro Zillia

Halloween Costume I’d Wear
Urban Outfitters shows you how to get the complete look here.
Seriously considering this alternative.
Things I Will Make You Do With Me:
You know who you are.
Hi, how cool is this Darigold corn maze?! I’ve been to corn mazes before and they are alright, but it has always been raining! It’s not exactly the best recipe, is it? However, when I look at a photograph of this perfect maze and the sun shining down on it, I feel like nothing can go wrong in this world.
Locals – this is in Enumclaw!
Check it out all this month. More details here.
Halloween Brainstorming
OH MY GOODNESS. Do they make this in child size? That’s all I need. I can make it work.
This bacon and eggs baby costume was designed by Sara Carter of The Costume Cafe.

Is It Halloween Yet?
Almost! Check out this “Domo” Halloween costume by Fred Flare. Last year, I unfortunately did not get to celebrate like I normally would have, but you better believe that this year will be different.
I’m graduated y’all. It’s a whole new game.
Hipster Disney Princesses In Real Life
I Know I’m Almost A Week Late
but this is by far the cutest Halloween costume I’ve seen. Also, I didn’t get to celebrate this year so if I feel like continuing Halloween posts, I will! But seriously – this is the last one.
