“Single By 30”

Every time I finish my work day (I made my cut off time 9:00 PM tonight) I always think that I’m going to have the same amount of energy to put towards Yow Yow! and to be able to find material and be able to whip something up in time to post by the end of the night. For some reason, it was really easy when we were in school and we would do like 8 posts every night, but it’s so much harder as an adult!

Tonight, we’re keeping things pretty casual with a new series by Wong Fu Productions. I had read a preview about this earlier in the week – the story centers around two main characters – Kina Grannis and Harry Shum Jr. who are friends from high school. One night, way back when, they make a pact that if they are still single by the time they are 30, that they’ll just marry each other. Well… flash forward years later – they are 30! I’m not going to spoil it for you so you’ll just have to see what happens next. I think this is airing on YouTube Red though which means… it might cost some $$$, but the first episode which we’re showing here is free! If you like it, maybe you’ll continue on with the series. I mean, I definitely want to know what happens next!

The Last

It’s not often that I come across something that I resonate so strongly with. “The Last” by Wong Fu Productions is a simple and refreshing answer to the question of “How many have you loved?” It features  Harry Shum Jr. (otherwise known as Glee’s Mike Chang!) and Kina Grannis as the two main characters – but hey! there’s also an appearance by Kaba Modern dancer Yuri Tag.

This was an incredible short. Thank you so much Doobybrain for sharing it.

Yes, I teared up.

This is kind of like the time I was obsessed with Casual. Remember that?

Harry Shum Jr. (Glee) has Talent

Every time I have seen Harry on Glee he has never said one line. Actually, false. Correction. In the last episode, he said “It’s going to be choppy,” when Finn had brought them a new song to add to their performances for Sectionals last minute. Other than that I have seen his character Mike make many faces throughout the season and will dance every chance he gets!

I recently came across this video of him free styling to the orchestra version of Kanye West’s Flashing Lights . It’s actually a really nice piece and it makes me excited to start dancing again this Spring!
