Take Me There:

When most people travel, no one really expresses how staying at a hotel is one of their favorite parts about a trip, but for me it is. For many, hotels are just a place where you sleep at night and nothing more. However, a great hotel can enhance your traveling and your experience. This past summer, I stayed at Hotel Monaco in San Francisco and felt inspired just being in the room. It was the type of modern glamour in a hotel that I never thought I would be attracted to, but was. The wallpapers were refreshing and made me feel inspired to get work done while I was there.  It was a comfortable stay and even though I just booked my tickets home and won’t be staying in a hotel, I am looking forward to the next time that I do!

The Wythe Hotel located in Williamsburg sure is pretty, don’t you think?

San Francisco Hotels’ Outrageous Amenities

photo cred |  Curbed

Is everything in San Francisco better? It sure seems like it with the amount of posts we’ve been doing on the city lately. One thing is for sure – everything in San Francisco is much more expensive than say…anywhere else. Especially Seattle. I just came across a post this morning outlining some of the most extravagant amenities that their hotels are offering and was surprised to say the least especially because I forgot to take advantage of one amenity when I was at Hotel Monaco last month. Not only is the hotel dog-friendly, but they also offer a program called “Guppy Love” in which they allow their guests to take care of a complimentary goldfish during their stay. The hotel staff is trained to feed and care for the fish  so you don’t have to take the role of its owner yourself, but you can have some company if you’d like. If only I had known this just a few weeks ago…

Hotel Monaco in San Francisco

It’s not often that I get to have a vacation all to myself, but I was very lucky to have a quick getaway to San Francisco last month. I stayed at the lovely Hotel Monaco downtown and while I did post a couple of Instagrams of the interior of my hotel room, I wanted to do another little post so that you could see some more quality photographs.

My room had two twins beds instead of just one, but I was thrilled that I had a room that looked (for the most part) exactly like this. It’s super chic and glam – a style that I love – but don’t always preach in the living spaces I have previously lived in. Sometimes it’s nice to switch it up!

The location of the hotel was perfect as I could walk right into Union Square for some shopping (which I didn’t do – but maybe next time!) and hop into some incredible restaurants for meals. The staff took such great care of me while I was here  and I cannot thank them enough for meeting my requests and making sure I was getting to all of my stops in a safe and timely manner.

“Girls’ Weekend” in San Francisco!

7

It isn’t often that I plan a vacation for myself. When I learned recently that my two friends Winny and Jennie were having a getaway to San Francisco this past weekend, I joined the trip last minute! We spent the weekend eating, shopping, exploring, and of course Instagramming our little hearts out. Growing up, I haven’t had too many opportunities to travel with my friends. The last time I did, it was also on a road trip to San Francisco. But it’s moments like these that I really treasure…being able to be an adult in another city. It was also Jennie’s first trip to SF so we were sure to hit all the spots! I feel really lucky to have traveled with these two ladies as they are not only dear friends of mine, but friends that I looked up to while in college. Click the cut for all of our adventures from start to finish.
