Anna Wintour in Chanel – she hosted the whole thang so she had to be first.
It killed me that I couldn’t post every look and have this ready to go for you all this morning! I was so excited to see some of the looks from the Met Gala yesterday evening and then a part of me knew that I would hate some looks as well. With the theme being, “China: Through the Looking Glass,” I was concerned that there would be jabs poked at stereotypes and Asian trends that would make me cringe. Of course there were, but like all things, we have to move on and not dwell on them. In the interest of saving time (and space!) I am choosing not to include looks that I felt were in poor taste.
Lupita Nyong’o, in Prada
The red carpet was packed with actors and actresses meant for the best dressed list. We’ve reached the end of the Award Show season (I think) and this was probably the best way to close it out. Lupita has pretty much hit it out of the park for every award show. That alone, should earn her an award.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture
YES, this is the dress that I would have loved to see Jennifer in at the Golden Globes, but better late than never. We all know that Jennifer is partial to Dior so it’s a no-brainer, but the slim fit and dark color is doing wonders for her on the red carpet. We’re pretty happy with this pick.
Tina Fey in Carolina Herrera and Amy Poehler in custom Stella McCartney
Happy Monday readers! Yesterday brought out some of the best in red carpet wear and along with that…some of the worse. We’re kicking off this red carpet post, however, with the best hosts this show has ever seen. Luckily for us, we get them for another year!
It’s almost like we can always expect something a little outrageous and whimsical from Jennifer Lawrence at these kinds of events. We’re okay with it.
Jennifer Lawrence took home a Golden Globe this evening for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for American Hustle.
Jennifer Lawrence debuted her new pixie style hair cut today while en route to her Hunger Games press tour and we absolutely loved it. To be honest, I haven’t found very many pixie hair cuts that I have loved. Miley, Rihanna, Michelle Williams – it never really did it for me. I’m not sure if it’s just cause I like Jennifer Lawrence more than the rest of them, but I definitely enjoy this look on her best. Girl can do no wrong.
For quite some time, I have been thinking that leaving a picture for a comment on Facebook wasn’t sufficient enough for the emotions that I was trying to express. Sometimes you need to insert a GIF, but for the longest time, Facebook wouldn’t accept that. Well my favorite GIF site Giphy has finally found a way around it.
When wanting to post a GIF on Facebook, all you have to do is copy and paste the URL into the comment just like you would with any image and it will simply appear. Can’t wait to see these popping up on Facebook.
I found myself at my favorite book store in Capitol Hill last night and finally got a glimpse of the infamous September Issue by Vogue. Every year, I know that the issue is going to be massive, but I still find myself very curious and in need of holding it in my arms just to see how much bigger it is against my body. It’s amusing to me and as I’m sure – amusing to those around me.
By now, we know that Jennifer Lawrence is on the cover and looking stunning, but did you also know that the cover is making the rounds on Instagram under the hashtag #voguestagram?! Animals love fashion too, alright?

It’s the biggest night in fashion of the year and for the past four years, we have been covering the annual Met Gala. This year’s theme was Punk: Chaos to Couture and the celebrities did it well. Here – Dakota Fanning looks phenomenal in Rodarte.

I’m pretty sure I loved every second of Jennifer Lawrence’s interview after winning an Oscar. The girl is my age and is already so accomplished and…hilarious. She would fit right into my group of friends.
