Anna Wintour in Chanel – she hosted the whole thang so she had to be first.
It killed me that I couldn’t post every look and have this ready to go for you all this morning! I was so excited to see some of the looks from the Met Gala yesterday evening and then a part of me knew that I would hate some looks as well. With the theme being, “China: Through the Looking Glass,” I was concerned that there would be jabs poked at stereotypes and Asian trends that would make me cringe. Of course there were, but like all things, we have to move on and not dwell on them. In the interest of saving time (and space!) I am choosing not to include looks that I felt were in poor taste.

I heard this song for the first time last night when one of my friends played it at our dinner party and it didn’t take too long for it to grow on me. It’s awfully sweet.
Happy Sunday y’all!
On Fridays, my team likes to do a little something that we call “a throwback to old school R&B” which involves playing a bunch of old school R&B hits from our childhood. We’ve done this for two weeks now, but I could see it becoming something that we do on the reg. Thanks to my brother, I was a pro at knowing all of the classics by the time I was age 5. I was pretty unusual I guess. My coworker Tenzing introduced me to a game on the internet the other day (or what we like to call a time waster) in which you pick which artist you know best – Drake or Kanye – and you are able to choose the title of the song based on the snippet that you hear. I passed level 1 and it started going downhill from there, but I urge you to try it out yourself. It’s a great way to pass the time and learn some great songs that you may or may not have spent much time with. Enjoy The Rap Test y’all!
So E! revealed the first photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye’s wedding today and yes, they were as gorgeous as you thought they were be. The very fashionable couple both wore Givenchy as they are pretty close friends with Riccardo Tisci. Kim wore a Givenchy Haute Couture gown while Kanye opted for a custom Givenchy suit.
I know I haven’t seen very many photos, but I think I love the look of her third wedding even more than her second!
Now the big question is…will there or will there not be a televised wedding special on E! I really need to know.
I can’t believe it’s time already for the most fashionable night of the year! It’s crazy to think that a year has already gone by. I feel like I was making the 2013 post just last month. This year’s theme is White Tie and Decorations.
Of course we’re kicking things off with Queen Bey and Jay.
Beyonce and Jay-Z both in Givenchy Haute Couture
Today’s Song of the Day is actually a song I listened to and discovered yesterday. The video is kind of confusing, abrasive, and so true to its name. It basically follows what I assume to be a very non-typical Bonnie and Clyde caring very little about everything. I could elaborate a little bit more with this description, but Noisey did such a better job with it that I’m just going to include theirs below.
At the Noisey office, we keep incessantly saying “turn up” to each other, to the point that the phrase has lost all inherent meaning, transforming into a phonetic formulation, devoid of context. Atmosphere has done something similar with their newest single “Kanye West,” taking the name of the biggest rapper in the known universe and turning it (up) into a refrain about giving a damn and a fuck. The video for “Kanye West” is a reminder that true love knows no borders, laws, or suspicions that your partner is using you to help knock over a bunch of convenience stores.
I heard one Kanye classic over the weekend and it has pretty much turned my week upside down. On repeat, Kanye West. Literally, I searched him on Spotify to pull his tracks and am just going down the list listening to all of my favorites. I’m not sure if it was coincidence or what, but Kanye also just happened to be performing a medley of his songs on the premiere week of Late Night with Seth Meyers as well. Now I’ve heard that the premiere week hasn’t hit it off as well as Jimmy Fallon’s transition to The Tonight Show, but I wanted to give this the benefit of the doubt. I like Kanye, but this entire performance seemed so unnatural to me. The transitions of the songs weren’t smooth. They actually seemed awkward and I felt like I could have created a replica of something like this on my own Spotify playlist by just listening to bits and pieces of his songs. It’s disappointing, but then I remember that I’m even more disappointed that he’s getting married to Kim Kardashian.
James Franco and Seth Rogen done spoofed Kanye West and his new music video today! We can’t wait to hear what the Yeezus has to say about this.
E! is exclusively reporting that Kanye West has proposed to Kim Kardashian this evening in front of family and friends at AT&T Park in San Francisco for her 33rd birthday.
Kanye, whose Yeezus Tour touches down in nearby San Jose tomorrow night, rented out the stadium for the occasion

Readers, do you remember the video I posted last week of a girl quitting her job while dancing to Kanye’s “Gone?” Well, now the company that she quit has made their own video. We’re glad that there isn’t too much bad blood between the two :)
