A First Look at Yeezy Gap

I didn’t really know what to expect when I learned about the Yeezy Gap collaboration, but we remained curious. To be honest, I actually forgot about this partnership until I saw this post today on [Fashionista] The fact that Yeezy Gap leans more to active wear isn’t all that surprising. I love this bright electric blue and while this puffer is unconventional, we don’t hate it. I’d love to see what this looks like after trying it on. For now, we’ve just got a glimpse of Kanye wearing it himself below:

Kanye West x Gap

When I woke up to this news yesterday, I initially thought it was a joke. Doesn’t it seem like the kind of April Fools we’d expect? The doubt was merely just because of the very off-centered logo. Gap has been hurting for some time as a brand, but is Kanye West the answer here? Can his 10-year deal with the retailer save the company?

“We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his Yeezy brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership,” Mark Breitbard, Global Head of Gap Brand, said in a release.

For now, we can just expect clothing out of this collaboration, but may see more in the future. I’ve always viewed Gap to be a classic brand and while I’m not a regular, I love them for basic staples ie) loungerwear, pants, denim, etc. We’ll definitely keep an eye on what’s coming out, but not making any promises!

2020 Oscars After Parties

Hailey Bieber in Versace

I might be in a minority camp here, but I honestly love the after party looks way more than the main event itself. Why, do you ask? Have you seen the looks that show up after the award show ends for the night? Every celebrity comes out and it’s a much bigger pool when you include those that aren’t nominated. Even those that were at the actual award show will come donning a second look. Plus, because the after party isn’t necessarily televised everything is just a little bit more sheer and with a little less fabric. These looks are fun, sexy, and ones that we all wish we could pull off.

Trust me when I tell you that everyone was here and we wanted to capture everything in this post, but because of the volume it was slowing down the loading of creating this.

What We’re Listening to this Weekend

spotify:album:3ff2p3LnR6V7m6BinwhNaQ

It is a whopping 100 degrees out here in the South Bay today and I’m dying and sweating all over my couch. I’m about 3 minutes from running down the stairs and jumping into my pool. It’s one of those thoughts that should probably use a little bit more calculation, but right now – it seems like the only solution. Kanye’s “The College Dropout” is one of my favorite albums and I still remember blasting “All Falls Down” when I was 14 in the car with my parents. We’re listening to this album through and through today because old Kanye is the best kind of Kanye.

Kanye’s Favorite Sounds

This is my favorite thing this morning so far. A supercut of the sounds Kanye West makes in his songs – I don’t even want to think about how long this took to make.

A Collection Part 45

Interestingly enough, we don’t have a lot of thoughts to share about this A Collection Part post. The last 3 months have been a blur, but a good one. I think we’ll have some thoughts that we can share tomorrow that we’re building up, but for now let’s just enjoy these.
