Not being able to blog regularly has given me the time to reflect back on where I am at with Yow Yow! and where I want to be with Yow Yow! When I first started this blog, it was for the sole purpose of recording news. I went through a period of time where I was spending a great deal of posts talking about celebrities, but that wasn’t the blog that I had envisioned for myself. Having this blog, however, has given me the opportunity to reach out to a variety of people. I had great experiences working with writers, musicians, companies, and my favorite – interviewing people. Celebrities may be the talk of the town now, but that doesn’t last. These projects that I am learning from people and these experiences that they have given to both others and myself have proven to me that there is something much bigger than us in this world.
That’s not to say that we can’t do anything because our world is so big. What I’m trying to say is that we have the capacity and the resources to gain support from others in order to obtain what we need. We have this chance to spread the word about these projects and great opportunities! Here’s hoping that you are still able to follow my train of thought… I’ve been wanting to help a specific group of people since I was 15. While I want to be able to help everyone, I felt passionate and called to help out local musicians and bands. I wanted to see their music supported and purchased. I wanted to make their form of expression known.
Blogging has been a perfect outlet for me to express anything at all and I am just now realizing that I can voice these ideas and inspirations from others through Yow Yow! Though I wasn’t able to blog at 15, I am fully capable now and where I would like to see Yow Yow go is in the direction of promoting others. Yow Yow! won’t become a running advertisement, but I hope that I will be able to expose these projects from those around the world. I want to introduce all of you to incredible music that both you and I are listening to. And I hope that through this, we can be truly inspired by humanity.
So to “kick” things off, here is a little montage created by Kickstarter. For those of you who are not familiar, Kickstarter is a platform for which users can create accounts to ask for the support of others in their projects or ideas. I have been introduced to many incredible projects while perusing Kickstarter and have even had friends of mine who have been able to raise money for their service travels or to put out their own records. It truly is a wonderful and gracious act of kindness.
