Lauren Conrad For Lucky

LC will always be one of my favorite MTV icons. She’s come a long way from Laguna Beach and The Hills and has really made a name for herself.

Can These Couples Get Back Together?

[Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron]

The amount of time I spend invested in celebrity gossip is sometimes really embarrassing. I take that back. It’s extremely embarrassing, but at the same time I have no shame. I can’t explain why I have such strong feelings towards why I believe certain celebrity couples should be together, but I do! It stirs up some emotions and signs of hope in me I guess! I’m going to stop writing before I say something that will be used against me by my friends later on though.

If Seattle University were like Laguna Beach…

[La Spiga]

then 12 Ave’s La Spiga would totally be Laguna Beach’s Pasta Pomodoro ie) the restaurant that every single one of them ate at, but more frequently Kristin and Ste-PHENNNNN.

Truth: I spent all day looking for a screen cap of the both of them eating at this place, but couldn’t find it. This is the best I can do, but you can see for yourself in the first ep. of Laguna Beach.

Laguna Beach and where they are now

I don’t care what anyone says, but Laguna Beach Season 1 totally trumps

a) any Laguna Beach season after that – ie) 2 and 3

b) Newport Beach (failed attempt)

c) The Hills

d) The City (cya Whitney Port)

I’m pretty sure I could continue watching this entire first season forever and ever. I was thrilled to find on ohnotheydidnt today a post discussing the whereabouts of all of my Laguna favorites so I figured I would share it with you here if any of you are fans!

Lauren Conrad for Kohls Spring

Lauren Conrad may not be getting a new reality show on MTV, but we think that she will do just fine. After all, she is the most successful cast member out of both Laguna Beach and The Hills. She also has a way of making her collections look super cute without being high end whereas Heidi failed to do the same with her collection for Anchor Blue. Anyways, her new spring photos for Kohls were just released and they are adorable.

Lauren Conrad Style

Lauren Conrad released her new book today entitled, “Style.” Ever since her Laguna Beach days, Lauren has made the simple California Girl look her own and inspired many young teens along the way. I was a little skeptical when I heard that she was writing a style book because her look has always been so simple, but then I remembered what we should be thanking her for. She gave us two lines – one her own and the other with Kohls. She pushed rising trends such as the cute little side braid, the black blazer, and the maxi dress. Lauren is basically the poster girl for C&C California because she puts basic on a whole new level.

In her new books, she offers style and guidance to her readers hopefully molding her fans into having the similar effortless style that she has.

This post was brought to you by mini stylish Lauren Conrad.

I Like Your Style…

Lauren Conrad!

I have always admired Lauren’s effortless and no-fuss cool California style. We watched her grow up in basics on Laguna Beach wearing plain denim jeans with C&C tanks. We witnessed her on the red carpet wearing questionable dresses. Now, Lauren having retired that style and her old nickname LC, has perfected a polished look and has turned pro in being a leading trendsetter today.

In MTV News…

- MTV has decided to cut The City and will end the series after this season. What is the meaning of this exactly? Maybe MTV just wanted to start fresh with their new shows and decided that cutting The Hills meant cutting The City as well. They are after all very similar. I won’t deny that The City is actually my guilty pleasure. Despite knowing that it is all scripted, I still love it.

- On a good note, the first season of Laguna Beach [the only season that anyone cares about] is on NetFlix for stream. I am reliving high school days with it.

Laguna Beach

First off, I’d like to apologize for the lack of posts on Yow Yow! I know I’m letting down a certain friend that checks this site everyday as she checks her email. ;)

The other day I watched a trailer for the new season of The Hills, which I don’t care about at all. It just made me miss the original Laguna Beach. That was a great show. It was funny, witty, and introduced us to new “Laguna Beach” lingo including: dunzo, “I’m so over it,” stoked, amped and whorebag.

I like to convince myself that every season after the first was “acting.” That’s why season 1 was the best. Here are just a few of my favorite quotes and since I couldn’t find a trailer for Laguna Beach season 1, here is season 2. It’s still funny.

*****

Lo’s Mom: Lo it’s not a fashion show…
Lo: Every day’s a fashion show mom.

*****

Stephen Coletti: You look real good, keep dancing on the bar SLUT!

*****

Kristin: Jessica, he’s cheating on you! Take it from someone who used to cheat on her boyfriend. Those are signs of him cheating!

*****

LC: How would you feel if I kissed my ex-boyfriend right in front of you?
[sarcastically]
LC: But I was *sorry*.

*****

Lo: [to Talan] You just got a facial? Talan, why did you do that?

Audrina “Ceiling Eyes” Partridge gets her own show

The Hills will never die. I’m glad Lauren is getting out of but I feel like everyone that doesn’t have a life or an income after the Hills is over is trying to get their own show. Brody did it, Kristen Cavallari did it but her show on UPN “Get This Party Started,” lasted one episode. It was a shit show. What’s next? Spencer and Heidi? Stephanie Pratt? Dear god…

“It’s my life after The Hills, my journey. It’s going to be a little spicier, edgier, older,”

prove it!

“There’s going to be new love, romances,”

You wouldn’t really know that unless MTV bought these actors for you, or characters to act as your love interest.

at this point all of us are ready to branch out, and I feel like all of us have changed and matured so much that we’re ready to go out for the next big challenge.”

with… another reality show. That’s progress at it’s best.

Dear MTV,

I loved Laguna season one, I loved the Hills season 1, I loved a number of shows you have put together but please, please do us and your viewers a favor. Just stop. We know this isn’t real we’ve heard Lauren call it “scripted reality,” which means the crew tells her what to talk about but she doesn’t have lines persay. But we are tired, we don’t like your characters very much and the fact that they have the same drama and have new relationships every season does not excite us anymore. Find your “stars” other jobs and just close the book on this.

Thank you

yours,

- a concerned viewer

MTV can you bring these back puh-leeze?

For as long as I’ve had MTV, I was about ten I think, I was glued to the shows and the various music video shows they used to have. These days there are only a few shows I can count off of one hand that I would watch today on that channel.

BAM! Flashback to my old loves!

Rich Girls

Why they cancelled this show after one season I’ll never know. Right, Ally went to rehab. I loved Ally and Jaime regardless and seeing them go to prom and their weekend vacations to Nantucket. I especially felt like I had a connection with Ally when she had a breakdown in her house and couldn’t make herself any Mexican food. When she cried I cried. Yeah it was that sort of thing. Anyways, I heard they might put it out on DVD so uh hello BIRTHDAY PRESENT!
