Two Olivia Palermo posts in one day? I can’t help it if this HBIC is everywhere! Olivia Palermo is one of my favorite style icons and she just happens to be following the footsteps of Miss Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth by creating her own blog. Will it be beauty focused like Lauren’s or be a mixture of a little of everything like Lo’s? Maybe it will just be centered around fashion since her style is what she is known for. Regardless of what the focus will be, I am pretty excited about!

Let’s hope it’s good enough to find a spot on my blogroll.

2010 MTV Video Music Awards

Lady Gaga won eight awards. She basically swept the whole show and wore a gown made of meat. Nice.
The carpet was white – naturally everyone decided to be boring and actually wear black and white or something dark.
Florence + the Machine put on an AMAZING performance of “Dog Days Are Over.”
Kanye West tried to have Taylor Swift sing a song he wrote for her prior to the show. She declined and instead performed a song for Kanye “forgiving” him called “Innocent.”

I didn’t watch the show, but this is what I had gathered.

The Lo Down

This is my second to last Hills-related post I promise. This week, Lauren “Lo” Bosworth launched her new website entitled “The Lo Down.” I wasn’t sure what to expect because when I saw Heidi Montag’s website I was not at all impressed. Since Lo’s debut this past Tuesday, I’ve surprisingly found myself visiting it everyday.

Lo works with her team of friends Zach Tanck and Matt Griffin to cover topics under relationships, health & fitness, style, beauty, and life. The most interesting article I read from her today was “4 tips for Restaurant Dining,” – which is completely true. Lo also runs an advice column through her website and answered the question “How Do I Get Out of the “Friends With Benefits” Zone?” and she addressed the twisted Hills series finale everyone is still talking about.
