This is my favorite look of the night! Not only is it age appropriate, but it shows enough skin without being too much. I especially love the colored panels that can be seen more visibly from the side or the back. It definitely spices up the dress.

How much do you love this dress? It was inspired by the gown that Angelina Jolie wore last year and though these dresses bare some similarities, the ASOS version is much less expensive I’m sure. Way to go Whitney for snagging such a find!

This is not a sexy back. It leaves little to the imagination and that’s not really what I like to see in red-carpet dresses.

I suppose Marchesa is a hit or miss for me sometimes. I think this dress is flattering on Demi, but I don’t like the tacky embellishments that come with it.

Demi Lovato in Mandalay and Selena Gomez in a gothic Julien Macdonald gown. This is an interesting choice for Selena because Cheryl Cole once wore a similar dress like this one and apparently Selena idolizes Cheryl.

- The VMA’s didn’t have a host this year, but I think we saw way too much of Lady Gaga or her male counterpart. It almost got to the point of being too obnoxious for me and I think the organization of her presenting the award to Britney Spears was a little weird because her tribute was cut short when they both had to introduce Beyonce. There could have been a commercial break in there because Gaga awkwardly stole Britney’s thunder.

Most of the time, my favorite red-carpet (in this case – orange carpet) outfits are ones that involve dresses, but Selena Gomez stole the show last night in her Christian Cota outfit and strappy blue sandals. This is a perfect outfit for spring and the shoes definitely give it a little extra pop.

It’s a nice dress, but it doesn’t really do much for me. I think I expected her to just “wow!” everyone away on the carpet, but instead I just got my hopes up about it.

I feel like it has been years since we have seen them both appear on the red carpet together. The question is, why Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards? As much as I love the high neck on Paris, I am loving the Proenza Schouler dress much more as an overall look.
