Pierrepont Hicks

In addition to being somewhat of a closeted music snob, I happen to be weirdly be a news snob as well. That means that if I follow a blog and I haven’t read it since February, I will literally go back to the last post that I read from February and read all of the news pieces up till today’s date.

It may be borderline OCD, but that’s okay.

Anyways, here is a post for you straight from February 15, 2011.

Tie brand Pierrepont Hicks used Minneapolis’ Electric Fetus record shop as the location for their latest look book. Who are these handsome models? Well, they just happen to be members of local band Mercurial Rage. Seems fitting enough.

City in a Jar

Back in the day, I was a huge fan of pins. I went through a little phase in high school where I would purchase pins from bands for like $1 or less and then attach them to the rims of my pockets on my jeans. So stylish right? Eventually, I grew out of that, but I still love pins to this day because I am always pretty impressed with the designs featured on such a tiny little thing.

City in a Jar was a project developed in Minneapolis, Minnesota and features 600 pins with 20 iconic places of the wonderful city. These can include hang out spots, restaurants, landmarks, etc. So far, they’ve only introduced Minneapolis, but hope to expand to more cities. Seattle next please!
